Summary of traveller reviews

Outpost Beach Hostel in El Nido offers a vibrant social atmosphere with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who make guests feel at home. Enjoy stunning sunset views from its beachfront location. While it's a bit outside the main town, it's ideal for travellers seeking a lively social scene and easy access to island tours. Some guests note the access can be tricky at high tide.

Staff were so attentive and made an effort to learn your name and involve you in activities. Plenty of stuff to do, busy at night but chill in the day. Good size rooms but weren’t the cleanest, bad smell and lots of mosquitos and flies. You can only get to the hostel via the ‘beachfront’ when it is high tide, very dirty beach with pipes and litter everywhere. Steep stairs to access the hostel at low tide. Also lots of noise from neighbours, and town is only accessible by car. Saved by the staff!

Outpost Hostel was a great experience. There were many travelers with good energy from Australia, Switzerland, Germany, South Africa, Spain. Had a great time. The staff is very cool and active. Location is not prime, you have to take a tuk tuk to town or walk 1 hour on the beach. The hostel is very good. The one thing I did not like is that they do not provide free water. They say that they cannot guarantee water quality, but just go to any restaurant or other hotels and they do provide water.
