Property Description

Mabuhay, Outpost Fam! Before you book your stay with us, please take a moment to read our property description. Very important information is disclosed below!

A fun and social hostel located on El Nido's sunset beach. It’s all about comfort and being part of the lively vibe that is set at Outpost Beach Hostel! Laze out in the sun on our beach, chill in our beautiful lounge, or go island hopping with us and your fellow hostel friends during the day. Then, be part of the fun vibe at night with our bar fully opened.

From the members of staff, managers, and owners, we are all present to assure you have a fun and comfortable stay whilst exploring the beauty that is El Nido. Come and join us for your stay in El Nido!

Outpost is located in the southern sector of Corong-Corong Beach (the sunset beach). The sunsets from our property are one of the best the world can offer. All the islands and lagoons you would want to explore are right in front of us in Bacuit Bay. We are relatively isolated and in a more serene environment compared to El Nido town proper.

Our dorm rooms are very comfortable and clean, with air-conditioning and fan in each room, hot shower access, large lockers, individual electric sockets and bed-side light box. Although our rooms are nice, we do emphasize the fact that this is a social hostel. So if you want to just stay in your bed and not express yourself, this is not a hostel for you.

We have a great restaurant on property led by Iron Chef Champion Chef Tristan aka Totoro. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily. We also have our own tour desk and boats. So, for all of those looking to explore El Nido’s beautiful islands and lagoons, we have the best tours to offer right here for you on our property.

Aside from our lush rooms and beachfront, we have a very beautiful lounge with a PS3 and Nintendo 64. Our terrace is also available for chilling with a kickass 180-degree view.

Come check us out! Salamat po!

The island hopping tours we offer are Southern and Northern tours. We also book transportation to Nacpan Beach, Kuyawyaw Falls, Coron, Port Barton, and Puerto Princesa.

Only cash payments are allowed so please bring cash prior to your arrival to El Nido. We do have an ATM on site!

For those arriving after 7:00 PM, please inform us via email or phone call otherwise we cannot guarantee your booking.

There is a set of steep stairs you must go down prior to arriving at the beach. The tide may be high as well, making the journey from the road to the hostel difficult, especially with big bags. We would be happy to assist with the bags and the stairs. Please just let us know when you are at the road.

Wifi is only available in common areas.

El Nido experiences power cuts frequently (about once a day for about an hour). During these periods, power is suppled by our generator. Only fan and cold showers will be provided to the rooms during these times.

Cancellation policy is 14 days. No-Shows will be charged in full.

We are a DRUG-FREE hostel. Violators will be escorted on the spot with no refund.

Once again, we are a social and lively hostel, so if you are in one of our dormitories and you are not going to mingle and share your experiences, this hostel is not a right choice for you.

Children are not allowed to sleep at Outpost. We would also like to add that given that it is a vibrant hostel, we do not recommend this hostel for anyone older than 35 unless they are looking to mingle and have fun with fellow guests.

Due to a high volume of guests every night, guests may be subject to room change. If you book and would like to stay in the same room during your stay, please email us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. View House Rules

At Outpost Beach Hostel, you'll find a super fun and sociable atmosphere – and some of the most gorgeous sunsets you'll ever see. You can lie back on the sand, go island hopping with your new travel mates or mingle with new people from the world over at the on-site bar (we put on events nearly every night). Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we have barbecues every Sunday! We've also got a spacious lounge with a PS3 and Nintendo 64 if you need a break from the sun.

We're right on Corong-Corong, known locally as Sunset Beach, about a 10-minute bike ride from El Nido town. If you're travelling alone, let us know when you're at the road and we'll come give you a hand with your bags. Once you've settled in, you can launch yourself into turquoise blue Bacuit Bay right in front of the hostel, or go looking for lagoons on one of our tours. We also organise land cruises to Nacpan Beach and Kuyawyaw Falls, plus transfers from El Nido Airport, a 20-minute drive away.

Rooms and Dorms

Our mixed dorms each have air con and access to hot showers. You'll have a big locker, plug a socket and lamp to yourself, and linen and towels are free. There's no Wi-Fi in the dorms, so head to the common room if you need to check your emails. (We've done this on purpose to let you disconnect and focus on getting to know your bunk mates!) We've also got private rooms with en-suites.

Extras and activities

Our terrace has 180-degree views, so you can snap photos of the landscape from all angles! Housekeeping keeps our whole space feeling fresh, and we have late checkout if you want to stretch out your time with us as much as possible. There's a mini-market on site, plus DVDs and board games for some home-away-from-home fun in the evenings.

Top hostel, went travelling alone for the first time it’s got a perfect environment as everyone there is friendly and everyone joins in with dance offs & beer pong so good night life and then everyone heads into town for the bars when the hostel bar closes which is always full. there’s always boat tours on which you have to do as they are so beautiful, fun & a great way to make friend (insane fresh food). Bath & bed rooms are extremely clean everyday. Kabugi jah was an absolute legend & helpful

A combination of great music, great food and a location right on the beach makes Outpost the best hostel I have ever stayed at - the embodiment of chilled out sexy vibes. Top it off with a different adventure available every day, shots at sunset and the best beer pong championships I've ever seen - you'll wish you could be stranded there. Plus the staff are kind and knowledgeable, I just can't I can't wait go back.

The only place to stay in El Nido!!! It was my first stop in Phililpines and the friends I made there I saw in every other stop. People in other hostels were coming to Outpost for the drinks and the boat tour. Make sure you do a boat tour cos it's a huge laugh and it's the easiest way to make friends. Cleanliness etc was flawless, only downside is you need to get a trike to town but worth ittttt

Amazing hostel! It's a bit more expensive but totally worth it. Clean, big dorms and bathrooms, one of the most stunning views in the world from the bar, super clean bathrooms, such good food! The atmosphere is amazing and it's super easy to meet people and party if you want, or if you want a quiet night, head back to the dorms without hearing too much from the party. The staff though, make your stay so great. From the minute you walk in until you leave, they always make you feel at home.

I had a great time at this Hostel! Met a lot of cool people and made friends. I took the tour and enjoyed the beauty of nature. The sunset was beautiful! The Hostel was clean with wonderful staff! The food at their restaurant was also good. I didn’t have to go to town to eat. Wished I could have stayed another day or two but my trip schedule was already made. Thank you Outpost Hostel for a wonderful time I had at your place. Will definitely come back again and stay longer next time!

Really nice hostel with great staff. They take time to remember your name and to make you feel welcome. The social part of the hostel is also great with different activities each evening. They also organice tours each day which take you to really nice, less crowded spots.

    Very Good

The hostel, staff and location were great. However many of the people staying at the hostel including myself got food poisoning from the hostels kitchen. This is unacceptable especially when you’re paying around 400 pesos per meal.

It all started on the 13/3 when the quarantine regulations came out. We asked help from the hostel in order to figure out a way to leave the country. The hostel told us that there was no way to get out from El Nido either by car or flights. We told them to help us but they were laughing and joking saying your stuck here and don't do nothing to leave. Those guys wanted us to stay there just so their business continues to make money not thinking at all about people. Total disgrace. Finally back.
