Property Description

Since its inauguration in 1995, the hostel takes great care with the satisfaction of our guests, providing a welcoming, and even maybe family-like, stay. Our hostel is in Ponta Delgada, 5 minutes from the urban center, which allows for walks to get to know the city.

Next to the hostel, you can also find the fantastic Antonio Borges garden, which is a great place to relax and simply let your imagination runs wild through the various labyrinths of nature.

This house is great not only because of this, but also due to the personal service, where every guest is a face, and not just a name.

Great welcome from Martha, nice 4 berth bunk room, not the 10 berth that I'd booked for. Great breakfast included in price, which wasn't mentioned on the booking system. Wifi excellent. Lovely old religious building recently renovated, very comfortable sitting rooms, adequate kitchen for guests. Continente supermarket 5 mins walk away. Over all, brilient place to stay for a quick cheapie trip courtesy of Ryanair! Will be back!

Really beautiful and clean hostel, both in the interior, which seems recently renovated, and the surrounding space. Even though it's not the most central hostel you can find, it's very close to the city center. The staff is mostly really friendly and helpful. They have some beautiful communal rooms and the atmosphere is generally really nice, although we visited during low season, so it was mostly empty. The reception is open 24/7 and it feels really safe.

My stay was ok, staff were helpful and reasonably pleasant, the hostel is clean and safe, breakfast was decent. Maybe there could be added some more hobs in addition to only two existing ones (which means that if a group of 20 highschoolers need to cook, everybody else has to wait for 2hrs), and also kitchen locked until 11am didn’t make any sense. Overall, I had a nice stay. Would recommend if you’re not looking for a party hostel

    Very Good

Facilities, amenities and location are all excellent. Staff however are not helpful at all and have very poor English. Bounced from room to room because of handwritten reservation system. Poster in the lobby says “We book these excursions”. When you ask them to book, they simply write down a phone number or a website on a scrap of paper. If you are looking for a nice place to sleep and absolutely nothing else, this is the place

The bunkbeds are too shaky, the showers are open for the whole hostel to see. The kitchen is tiny and not aquipted. Not the beat place to stay at.

Facilities are minimal and the atmosphere is not very cool. The reception staff is not friendly at all and the cleaning staff was very loud in the corridors. Our room smelled like mold, the bunk bed was wobbly & loud, the kitchen was locked most of the times (only plastic cuttlery!). Lockers without a lock. There was a man sleeping on the sofa in the common room - so we could not really spend time there. Another man was sleeping on a mattress on the floor right in front of our room (!?).
