Excellent place. I’m a solo traveller, 23 years old and it was a great place to stay. Lots of long terms but they are super nice and welcoming. Decent amount of short termers too. Huge kitchen, great showers and air conditioned bunks. I only gave location a moderate rating because Mount Backpackers is right downtown, so it’s got the edge there. The staff is so helpful and the free coffee is great. It’s a tad expensive, so free breakfast would be nice but overall I loved the place.

Fun hostel to stay at for a few nights. Really easy to meet people, especially if you want to party, there always seemed to be something going on at night. This hostel also actively helps you find work if you want to stay in the area!! The only thing is that it’s on the main road so it can be loud

Stayed here 7 weeks, left to be home during The Pandemic (that's what they'll call it one day hah) If you're working, it's a great long term hostel. Really enjoyed it after settling in, but the first 2 weeks were overtaken by a bunch of mid-20s brits who hadn't outgrown drinking, and they walked around like they owned the place. Once they left it was awesome though. Its very well maintained, its colourful, the chill room is excellent and the beds are comfy. Kitchen is spacious but gets busy!

This place has clean rooms but I didn’t want to cook in the kitchen because it was not clean at all. It had friendly people but a lot of smoking was going on of many types. I don’t smoke so it make me feel sick as was coming in to the halls. Not much space for parking but could be lucky and find some. Every fridge space is taken and there are a lot of fridges. Bed was comfy, room very hot but had fan. Very loud music I wouldn’t stay with kids.

I booked here because I wanted to surf and they had free boards, which was a mistake. Maybe worth it for absolute beginners. They don't let you take a board out if the waves are bigger than 0.5M, which is really the only time you'd want to go out. Poor board selection too. Also too big of hostel with mostly long term guests. This makes it hard for a solo traveller only there for a few days to meet anyone, it's very clicky. Next time I'll avoid this place and stay closer to the beach/mountain.

Very average and poorly organised. Super restrictive on surfboard hire. The room had very little privacy ie couldn’t lock your stuff without having a $40 deposit and the beds had no curtains, which made it super hard to sleep when the rooms are so close to the street lights. Bathrooms were mouldy and toilets were also blocked. Vibe was okay, not much happening at night and the chill out area is literally the car park. Overall, very disappointed.
