Property Description

WE ARE NOT IN DINGLE - WE ARE IN THE VILLAGE OF ANASCAUL.
(20 minutes drive from Dingle on the eastern side on the N86).

Anascaul on the Dingle Peninsula is a traditional Irish village in Gaelic speaking County Kerry. We are set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the super scenic Dingle peninsula, where we are minutes away from wonderful mountain hikes, golden sandy surf beaches, peacefully quiet lakes and majestic beach castles. Cead Mile Failte - 100,000 welcomes!

Opened in 2005, we were formerly a family run B&B called Brackluin House which ran for many decades until we re-opened as a cheerful and idiosyncratic hostel - Irish Minister for Tourism John O'Donoghue performed the ceremony.

Our hostel has 8 clean and comfortable dormitory rooms with bathrooms ensuite. A large dining area and guest kitchen are available at all hours for a late night cup of tea/coffee. We also have a cozy common room to relax in, perhaps with a book in front of its majestic turf-burning fireplace or a game of twister?

Our hostel proudly boasts its very own traditional Irish pub known as the 'Randy Leprechaun'. Packed to the rafters on weekends for karaoke, a unique blend of local characters and international travellers enjoy the chance to belt out some of their favourite tunes. Happy Days - Happy nights....

We play host to a variety of travellers including families, hill-walkers, hikers, backpackers, cyclists, tour groups, roaming individuals and general globe trotters. Our atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, where staff live onsite and are always up for a bit of banter over a late night snack or morning coffee.

So why not call in for a creamy pint of Guinness, meet some of our friendly and gregarious local characters, sing us a few tunes then fall into your conveniently close bed just next door!

Stay in a genuine Irish village, NOT one overwhelmed with tourists!

Continental breakfast included, tea/coffee available all day.

Everything in the kitchen is realy old and tired and requires a refurbishment. The toilet in the morning turned very quickly into an exotic aquarium and even when reported no one wanted to do much... otherwise it was great ;)

Awk I mean it was somewhere to sleep. Pretty sure the front door was open all night but I guess rural Ireland there’s no one about. Kitchen was grand and met some other cool people traveling around Ireland. Basic but good price for a stop off nights sleep.

Super budget. You get what you pay for. PaddyWagon tours stop here so expect a busy rowdy bunkroom! Kitchen a bit unclean and old. But bedrooms clean with decent enough beds. Our room had a decent en suite shower but others apparently older and more tired.
