Overview

Book for two nights or more at Paddy's Palace Dublin and we'll take you on a free bus tour to Glendalough, where Braveheart & PS I Love You were filmed. In our historic Georgian house, complete with a cosy common room, you'll also be treated to a free breakfast every morning, and can make use of our big kitchen to make your other meals. Our free Wi-Fi will help you research where to get Dublin's tastiest pint of Guinness (although we reckon it's at local icon The Celt, a couple of minutes' walk away).

Location

We're across the road from Customs House, one of Dublin's most striking old buildings, and just a minute's stroll down the street from the central bus station, Busáras. A bus from Dublin Airport will drop you off here after a half-hour trip, or you can message us to find out about airport transfers if you'd rather have a lift. Heading out for a night on the town? Famous Temple Bar – the city's buzzing nightlife area – is less than 15 minutes' walk away.

Rooms and Dorms

Paddy's Palace Dublin has private rooms and dorms with shared bathrooms or en-suites. You'll have a free security locker to stuff your backpack in and free linen (so you won't have to part with any extra euros). If you'd rather stay in a dorm with other women, we have female-only spaces as well as mixed options.

Extras and activities

We're Irish-owned and run, so we're definitely in the know about some of best Dublin's secret spots. We've got free walking tours to get involved in if you're looking to tick off the main sights, too. While you're out lapping up the culture, your belongings will be safe thanks to our 24-hour security. There'll also be someone on reception day and night if you need a hand with anything.

    Superb

Great hostel. Noisy though, dorm was right beside the traffic and the window did not block out the noise. Could be doing with a new triple glaze window there. the hostels are great, but there is always one person who disrupts the other quiet respectful guests, and it was the same this time. Opening up a lap-top in the middle of the night and doing computer work, which lit up the whole room, and generally noisy otherwise, with obvious mental problems. Surely, they should be elsewhere.

In general - we can't complain. We get exactly what we expected. A staff was nice and very helpful, room was clean and warm, bathrooms also were clean and we can get a hot shower. Unfortunately in the room for 8 people there were only two electric sockets, but we handle that.

Staying at this hostel was the best decision I made this whole trip! The staff were super kind and accommodating even when my credit card stopped working-- they let me pay a day later and I could stay in my room in the meantime. The room was clean and had a shower and sink in it.. the toilet was one floor above the room but that's fine, it was 20 euros a night! We also got a free bus tour that went to 2 towns in the country, one with historical significance, and it was BEAUTIFUL-- I rate 11/10

7.5/10 - First hostel experience- Paddy's Palace was great. The best thing by far about Paddy's was the location. It is right in the heart of Dublin and walkable to almost any sights and pubs. The beds were clean and comfortable. The traffic outside was very loud, so if you are a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs. The front desk was wonderful. Do the bus tour if you can - it was great and included in our 3-night stay. Bathroom in room did smell, but upstairs toilet was private and clean.

My stay at Paddys was okay, but not great! Got woken up many times during the night by lots of drunk people on the corridor, traffic on the street was really loud as well. no wifi in the rooms generally (and near reception where it’s supposed to work it didn’t work either). Breakfast was oats or toast with jam, very basic. Only good thing was that the woman at the reception was very helpful and booked me into an all female dorm because I would have been with 1 guy on my own.

The shower inside the room didn’t working, just 2 toilets for all hostel (outsides the room), didn’t have WiFi, didn’t have spaces of to put the luggage’s inside the room, breakfast very very very poor.. just the location was good. Close to the city centre. Others things, very bad!

Old building, the doors doesn't work well, there is no lockers at the room, the bunk bed is really small and uncomfortable. In our room we had a problem because the beds had some towels and other people's belongings when i drunk girl arrived, we did not know if it was her correct room because the other beds seemed occupied, in the end there was no problem but it's a poor hygiene that the sheets have not been changed or the things removed before another person comes.
