I stayed for 1 night & its good value for your $$$$.I made friends with 2 young ladies and that was so enriching. The breakfast was also not bad. Overall,I had a good experience staying there .The main city attractions/sight seeing venues were all closeby & I walked the whole block .The front desk guys were super helpful. One of them mapped out the places I could cover for 4/5 hours of the day.And that was real cool & awesome.I gonna recommend it to other travellers too.....!!!

Having this been my first time staying in a Hostel and used to staying in motels, but for the cost my expectations weren't high. I must admit, it exceeded my expectations on all levels. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone and if ever in the Chicago area again, will stay here.

The hostel is located in the heart of Greek Town with lots of great places to eat Greek food. It is within walking distance to many Chicago landmarks. It is also near the University of Illinois-Chicago campus that has a cool neighborhood for food and drinks within walking distance. The hostel offers a free breakfast and a nice common area with vending machines, books and a television. The rooms are clean and have lockers to secure your belongings. Good value for the money.

A good option if you're wanting to be in town on a budget. I had a private room so I can't comment on the shared accommodation but my bed was comfy and I wasn't bothered by noise. The bathroom was always crowded, and there were only 2 showers per floor. If you're looking for a social hostel this isn't for you, but if you're travelling in a group or happily by yourself I would recommend.

Parthenon has a negative atmosphere but functions okay. CONS: the common areas feel dingy, neglected, and sometimes grimy. Zero social vibe between travelers (total silence). WiFi doesn’t work. PROS: good location by train and near Greektown restaurants. Free breakfast. Nice, helpful staff. Good security. My room was clean. Summing up: If you stay here, you’ll be fine but you won’t feel great and you’ll look forward to checking out.

It has a great location, situated very close to the UIC-Halsted Blue Line train station. Service is acceptable and staff is not that friendly. Don´´'t expect any of the commodities if you are used to an Air BnB or a hotel. Overall is a good choice if you're looking to travel on a budget and don't plan to stay in for more than an hour except for sleeping at night.

The Staff was Super. The bed was very comfortable however, the facilities were very dated. The hardwood floors within my room were worn and had deep cracks in it. The men's rest/shower room, smelled of mold, and the showers had mold & mildew. I was a bit disappointed with the condition of the facilities. The price was not inline with what was shown online. Would think twice about staying here again or referring anyone to stay at this hostel.
