I had a great experience at Patagon Backpackers. I was welcomed by friendly staff and then got to know a great group of people during wine night later in the evening. Also, you couldn’t ask for a more comfortable bed. Highly recommend!

The best hostel I have stayed in in South America so far. The staff, especially Susie and Garrett, were extremely welcoming and helpful. Our time there felt like home away from home.

It was a great pleasure to stay at patagon backpackers for 4 days/ 3 nights. Great staff, awesome atmosphere, all you need after some days of trekking and camping! Probably it's difficult to find another hostal as nice as this one in coyhaique.. The breakfasts were also nice and the beds are super comfortable! My stay with my girlfriend: 1 night shared dormitory, 2 nights private room

Felt like being at home. Yes, it’s small but it’s clean, has an amazing kitchen and a nice area to chill in. Close to the centre and staff are lovely.

    Very Good

We stayed in the 6-person shared dorm room, and the room was incredibly small. There was hardly any space to put our backpacks, and the drawers under the bunk beds were not large enough to put our entire bags in. The issue about the room was fine because we only stayed one night, but if we had stayed for several nights it would have been very uncomfortable. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and the included breakfast was very good, there was lots of food and good options.

This is a new hostel, the rooms are the smallest I’ve experienced, the beds are squeezed in, so there is little space for everyone’s bags. I tried to ask for help on walks in the area, but the staff working didn’t know. Breakfast is ok - bread, cheese and jam with tea or coffee. There are no security lockers.

I hated this hostel. It’s only been open 4 weeks and it has serious issues. I arrived sick with fever & bronchitis and they made me sit in the lobby for 2 hours until check in but there was literally no one there. They charged the 19% tax that isn’t meant for tourists and I was so sick that I didn’t notice until later. They don’t have lockers, there are two small bathrooms for everyone, cold showers, and one staff member arrived back to the hostel at 3 am wasted and making so much noise.
