Great hostel with very friendly staff. It's tucked into a quiet little Kyoto street, though still close to the centre and a lot of temples. There's also a nice bike rental place close by. Would recommend!

Peace House is a perfect name for this place. If you like to chill then this is the place for you, would not reccomend if you want to stumble home drunk from da clubs, or through that would probs be fine also as long as you kept it down. Living space is cramped but the place is clean and very well kept. They also got a couple of loner penny boards🤙

A nice place to stay close to things to see in Kyoto. The dorm room doesn't lock at all but the environment and staff are very nice.

    Very Good

We were sharing a dorm. It was placed in a basement which is quite depressing. The environment looks cold and uninviting. Staff responds to emails fast. There's washing machine and dryer. Close to Gion district, walking distance.

    Good

Dorm room is in a basement. We had beds that weren’t next to each other in a room of 8 other boys. I (female) was in the top bunk of a man who was living there and had clothes spread out all over the place. There was nowhere to put my luggage and there was no curtain around my bed. There is 1 common area for 30+ beds. Its part of the office, has about 8 seats and a very cramped kitchen. Seems like the staff are treating it like a home. Uncomfortable and feels like you’re intruding.

    Good

Friendly staff but most of them had only stayed (and was only about to stay) in Kyoto for a few days/weeks therefore no tips or knowledge about the city in general. And it really wasn’t very clean. The table in the common area was disgustingly sticky (and I’m not sensitive), I don’t think we were even given fresh sheets and there was some very weird white stain on my friends curtain on her bed. It had a creamy texture and was quite huge. Also our beds were in the basement, it was pretty humid.

Would not recommend. Very cramped space, way too few toilets and showers that also wasn't very well kept. Staff was just random people who stayed at hotel and mostly sat watching TV-shows in the living room.
