I stayed at Peg Leg recently and it was such a great experience! With an outstanding location the price means it is great value for money. But the winning feature is the bar downstairs. You get discounts on food and drinks and it has the best atmosphere around town! The owners are super friendly and I would book a trip back to Sydney just for the bar :) They also have an awesome roof terrace which was a great place to hang out and meet other travellers. Thank you Peg Leg crew for an amazing trip

Great location. Clean rooms. Only thing is that almost anyone could walk in as there is no reception. The door to the dorm is also open unless locked from the inside by hand. The rooftop is lovely!! Overall a really pleasent stay.

Should be more signage on how to check in but the 20% off food in the bar really made my stay. The food, drinks and atmosphere downstairs is awesome.

Showers weren't cubicles, so you needed to close the main bathroom door for privacy. The beds were very thin and spring, uncomfortable sleep. Towels, shampoo and soap bar provided though. The door was difficult to open to the room, not the best but it was sufficient for price, short stay and very central location! The restaurant downstairs did good food too!

    Very Good

    18 Feb 2019
Centrally located and easy to find. Coles, fast food and restaurants were all close by. Rooms were basic but clean. However, their second bathroom was under renovations (which wasn’t stated online) so only one toilet and one shower was available for all of their guests in dorms and it was dirty. Beds were hard as a rock. There’s no kitchen (not even a toaster, kettle or microwave) but you get a discount from their bar (still found it pretty pricey). Overall, you get what you pay for!

Awesome location but facilities ehm not great. The beds were the hardest I've ever slept on and the showers on the first floor had no privacy at all and a little metal shelf structure which made it impossible to use two of them on the sides. Staff was very helpful and friendly though especially when I had my bed literally 'stolen' haha

Pro's: - Great location near Darling Habour, with easy walk to Sydney CBD. - Very close to Coles and great restaurants and takeaways (Star & Harbourside mall) - Easy to get to from the Airport from light rail. Con's: - Limited cooking facilities. - Showers are communal - wear swimwear while showering as zero privacy - Roof top is nice but no lights at night - Security is low, front door is left open regularly and had people come in to hostel at 3am and woken me up to ask for a room.

Was quite fine staying here but the hostel wasn't as good as I hoped. One very old bathroom to be shared and no kitchen or common area. The roof upstairs was although a wonderful place to hang out. Slept in girls 4 And 6 bedrooms and the one with 6 beds was way better. Softer beds and more cozy since the 4 bed room had a Green tile floor witch was very uncozy and ugly. Staff was friendly but no real reception. To me this was not a problem. Overall could stay again but in the 6 bed room.

Bathroom was under construction so everyone had to use one dirty toilet on the ground floor, and couldn't share it when in use. The bedroom felt very cheap and uninviting with bathroom tiles and a drain in the floor of the bedrooms. Beds were very creaky and mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Wifi barely connected. Several power outlets in my room did not work. No real common area to meet other travellers. Overall an unpleasant place to stay in, but they did have hot water in the showers.
