Hostelworld guests rated Peking International Hostel the most popular in Beijing at the 2011 Hoscars and it's no wonder - this clean, modern and charming hostel has boutique-style common areas and a rooftop restaurant as well as vases of fresh flowers throughout which provide 'a welcome respite from the dusty Beijing streets', as one traveller said. Our visitors tell us this is 'more than just a hostel, [it's like] a little quaint boutique hotel. The perfect place to rest after a day in the crowded city centre'.

I had a wonderful two night stay at the Peking youth hostel! Such a lovely place!! The flowers in every corner of the common area exuded a lovely bohemian vibe!! Staff were so helpful and answered all my travel related queries!! The location of this hostel is another bonus! The only downside that I can say if any is that the bathrooms could be a tad cleaner! Otherwise a lovely charming and quiet place in this otherwise loud and bustling city of Beijing!

Great stay! Everything was lovely except the price. It was really nice but a bit overpriced as they raised their rates to 180yuan. I still highly recommend this hostel, but if you are on a tight budget it’s best to look elsewhere. You can get a private room on Airbnb for about the same price (not as good of a location though). Other hostels like Peking Station hostel also include breakfast for a similar price as this hostel.

Located just off the main tourist hutong, this quirky, friendly and comfortable hostel made a perfect base for our 4 night stay in Beijing. We booked 3 ensuite rooms for our family of 6. The rooms are surprisingly spacious with immaculately clean bathrooms including a huge shower. All the staff are lovely but big shout out to Irene on reception. Less than 100 metres from the nearest subway station with loads of eating and drinking options nearby including the excellent Great Leap Brewery.

Really helpful staff and awesome facility, located right above a cute cafe with lots of flowers!! The hostel’s proximity to the subway also makes it very easy to get to from different parts of the city.

No major complaints about this hostel, but it is very standard. Clean, nice staff, an enjoyable restaurant attached to the hostel, and a roof top to hangout on are all nice features. The place was very unsocial though, which I was ok with at my point in the trip. A big selling point is the location. Tons of shops and foods nearby.

The location is perfect and the best one could ask for. It’s right next to the NanLuoGuxiang subway station 👌🏻But the value for money is quite bad. They almost charge as much as a 4 star hotel for a private bedroom for one night and not have all the facilities. Wifi reception is pretty poor in the rooms upstairs. You will end up coming down into the lounge area to catch signal. Overall it was a fantabulous experience except for the Wifi.

The hostel has a very good location; its in a very cute shopping street and very close to the metro shop. It has a very good restaurant/ café, if you are craving something other than Chinese food. A part from that the hostel doesnt really have any atmosphere, and its hard to meet other people. Its definitely not a party hostel, if thats what you're looking for. I also found it hard to get help from the staff with practical things.

Easy to get around. Great AC in room. Bathroom always hot and stuffy, no circulation. Gross and old. Never had to wait to use the sink or one of the two toilets/showers considering it's probably shared with several other dorms. Water dispenser was a small pitcher so I basically emptied it every time I filled up my bottles. Staff never mentioned any activities put on that would allow meeting new people. Seemingly uninformed as they told me it was too late to go to the Summer Palace (it wasn't).

Really hard to find. Had to ask for directions from another hostel. Once I arrived, staff was nice, but had limited information about local restaurants, etc.

We're located in a charming lane, just five minutes' walk from Houhai Lake and 20 minutes from the Forbidden City. I recommend people definitely visit the web-like maze of Hutongs.
For fun our guests like to have some nice drinks and play the free guitar we have around here. We also serve Illy Coffee in our beautiful café. We cater to all ages and have baby chairs as well as wheelchair accessibility on the first floor. Gao Gao & Fei, Owners
