We have a self-catering kitchen, sitting room, book swap, laundry, rooftop terrace with BBQ... (hot wine in December: German 'Gluehwein'). Our hostel is called “penthouse”, because it is on the 3rd floor. There is a long flight of stairs up and we have no elevator.

The historic town centre is beautiful and the Teutoburg forest around town is great for hiking (dinosaur tracks, salinas, thermal baths...) as well as seeing tiny half timbered houses.

    Superb

Great place to stay in Osnabruck. Good location, close to the train station, buses, restaurants, and a short walk from the museum quarter and university campus. The room was one of my favorite I've stayed in, the cool decor and comfortable bed made it the perfect place to relax for a few days.

    Superb

I spent three weeks here when looking for more permanent accommodation in Osnabrück. It was perfect as a base, near enough to most places to walk and great connectivity if needing to take public transport. Kathy was wonderful and so helpful throughout my entire stay, making me feel welcome and at home away from home. My only two critiques could be for the WiFi and the communal showers (the stairs nearly killed me on occasion but that information was available before booking!). Overall grand spot

    Fabulous

The hostel is very conveniently located, only a few blocks from the train station and near to the city center. The room and public areas were clean and well-maintained. The staff was welcoming and very friendly, quick to provide advice and suggestions. When I had a problem with a lost electrical adapter, I was provided with a loaner for the remainder of my visit. My only complaint is that the wifi was very inadequate for a space this size.

    Very Good

The lady who runs this hostel is lovely & very kind. There are nice communal areas, especially the balcony. We met some lovely people there. The location is good as it is not too far from the station. The fact that it is on the 3rd floor & there is no lift is a pain though with heavy luggage, but not the hostels fault. The kitchen could be bigger - we had to wait for people to disperse. Its a good hostel though.

    Good

Location is great, between the train station and the city centre. But it's not very clean, showers are impossible to get at right temperature, and the overall look is not exactly cosy. Also, beds have cheap foam mattresses. OK for 2 nights.
