Perfect spot on the hill in Phi Phi. Not far from the craziness and all the partying but also secluded enough to have some peace and quiet. Short downhill walk to the beach.

Staff and location are second to none, brilliant, friendly staff, grated with ice cold water and water Mellon the woman that runs the place was very nice and helpful in like most of the ungrateful rude Thai people on the island.

Cheap for Koh Phi Phi and it was within walking distance of the main streets/the pier. However, the beds were particularly uncomfortable and it was quite a hike up a steep hill!

These bungalows are up the steepest vertical hill & with luggage it isn’t so handy to get to. The rooms themselves are extremely basic and really dark. It is quite loud with music from the beach through the night but not something that bothered us. We moved to another hostel to avoid having to walk up the hill every night.

I read the reviews from someone else about A9, and lucky me, also got put into A9. if you have a shower, the whole bathroom floor turns into a small baby pool. I mentioned it to the staff and they just said it was fine. also it's true, it's one massive hike up a hill, especially with bags. Staff greeted us with water bottles when we first got there which was nice. close to no atmosphere, but you can hear the music at night (bring earplugs) overall, get a different room and you'll be fine

The bungalows are adequate. The air con rooms are miles better than the fan, some of our group had a mattress on the floor with a holey mosquito net and when they turned the tap on it came through the bottom onto the floor, it was a bit laughable. The music from the beach carried on till about 7am but if you’re out all night and just need a place to crash it’s fine. However the Hill is a nightmare with bags!!

The rooms were so hot only had one fan when ever we thought there was are conditioning the mosquito nets had holes in the they covered holes in the floor with planks of wood which ment you couldn’t close the door with out moving the plank and the bathroom door didn’t close because the beds were to close ! We were there for 20 mins then booked another hostel couldn’t stick it !

You can get much more in PhiPhi for the money. Obviously it's a budget place so you don't expect luxury but having power in the room and a closing bathroom door isn't much to expect! You have to walk through a rubbish tip to get there which is completely fly ridden. Got back to our room at night and had to wake up the owner to sort out power and aircon out as it had tripped out. Left after one night. Positive thing was there were no arguments about getting money back as I expect people ask alot

This hostel was horrible we couldn’t stay the night.. While it seemed fine at first when we walked in (there was a big fan and a bathroom, as well as two single beds per bungalow) when we looked closed we noticed there were dozens of little bugs in our bed, even though there was a net around the bed (it had holes in it everywhere).
