The host is very new and helpful, but other than that the area is sketchy and it isn’t a very good experience.

No toilet paper in bathrooms (I had to go to the kitchen to find a napkin), filthy floors, poor/minimal air conditioning. If there wasn’t a box fan in the room I would have had a heat stroke. There was also minimal communication about the check-in process, I didn’t know I needed a code to access the building and I’m glad I asked before I got there.

This hostel is full of people who are living there permanently and they are very loud playing their phones with videos and music late at night with no care for other guests

When I travel, I always use hostels and I can definitely say this is the worst one I've been to. I don't think I'd even classify it as a hostel. It had no culture, was in a horrible, drug-infested location, lacked simple safety measures, and definitely didn't follow adequate COVID precautions. The only minor saving grace is the staff here, but she could only do so much. I wouldn't recommend staying here under ANY conditions.

Everyone staying here is homeless, and it’s in the most poverty stricken, hostile neighbourhood I’ve ever seen in the West. If you brave the walk from the station to the house you’ll be greeted by a house with a heavy steel door and smashed windows. There’s a church next door that has live music until 2am. There’s a single bathroom that’s littered with fruit flies and a shower that fills up with water, and is therefore a massive foot fungus risk. There are also no lockers for your bags.

I was shocked that this was not a hostel but an Airbnb. It’s located in north Philly which is a horrible neighborhood. The building is old and rickety. There is only one bathroom for 6 rooms of people to share. It’s a cheap as possible looking. Don’t waste your money here. Just get a hotel.
