General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card ???? Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.
The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Holiday with Friends, Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School, College / University, Business Trip, Stag/Hen/Bachelor Party, Sports Group, Cultural Group If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."
Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

There's a Bar & Lounge area downstairs, where you'll find some of the cheapest prices in London.
There's a basic guest kitchen with a microwave oven, and fridge for guests to use.
Please note, we do not allocate beds and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Most of our dormitories contain triple bunks (3 beds high).
Guests can cancel their reservation up to 2 days before Check in date. After this date the full amount will be charged.
Payment is taken in full upon arrival, and is non-refundable should the guest wish to alter their booking after check in. View House Rules
Overview
Make the most of your trip to London with a stay at Phoenix Hostel, right in the city centre. We’ve got a sociable bar and lounge downstairs, and as our guest, you’ll get a discount on drinks. We offer a continental breakfast to set you up for the day, but if you fancy making your own snacks, we’ve got a microwave and a fridge to use whenever you like. Our 24-hour reception is happy to help with anything you might need, whether it’s booking tours or recommendations of things to see and do in the bustling capital.
Location
We’re located near Edgware Road in the Marylebone area, a short hop from Madame Tussauds, The Sherlock Holmes Museum and London Paddington station. Nearby you’ll find small supermarkets, shops and plenty of pubs to keep you entertained. We’re also just a 10-minute walk from Oxford Street, London’s famous shopping mecca. We’re easy to reach from London’s main airports – less than a two hour round trip from Heathrow (jump on the underground) and Gatwick (a coach / train ride plus an underground journey).
Rooms and Dorms
Here at Phoenix, we’ve got a selection of rooms, including private doubles and mixed dorms with shared bathrooms. Most of our dorms have triple bunks. They're spacious and comfy – the perfect combination for a good night's sleep! You’ll have access to a locker in your room, big enough for a small backpack and your valuables.
Extras and activities
We’ve got free Wi-Fi throughout and access is by key card so you don’t need to worry about coming in late – there are no curfews here! If you need to leave your luggage, we can store it for you safely while you head off for the day. Just grab one of our free city maps and get exploring.

Very good location and friendly staff. The 6 bed room I stayed in was clean and comfortable and the large bathroom on second floor was also reasonably clean. The sitting area with lots of sofas, wifi and dining tables/chairs is excellent to get work done during day. There is a fridge, microwave and crockery which is brilliant too. I was safe and comfortable during my stay at very reasonable price. -

Good value for your money. Great staff and fellow guests to hang out with for the night. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to a Tube stop for getting around London. -

Showed up close to midnight coming from Gatwick . The staff just told me to pick any bed that was open. I go into the hot smelly room and search for open beds. There was only one open bed that seems like someone else was sleeping in it previously. The next day I left and on the airplane I found hundreds of bug bites. I don’t know if it was from this hostel but it wasn’t from the place I was staying at before. -

The hostel is not maintained at all. The bed are bad, rooms are worse and bathrooms are below average. The place looks dungy, dull and old. I stayed in a YHA after this and comparison came in my mind. Its better to pay a little more but live in a hostel like that. -

We checked out early due to BED BUGS. After 1 night sleeping here, one of us was absolutely covered in bites. While we were able to get a full refund, we lost our first day in London due to the hassle. The staff were quite non-chalant about it and the sheets/mattress were not immediately removed from the room. The room was also extremely cramped and not secure. -
