Excellent hostel. Nicely located a little way out of town so quiet. Stayed in a private room which was small but more than adequate. Very nice outdoor area for eating and socialising. Plenty of clean washrooms. Kitchen was small but perfectly fine. Rose (the manager) was lovely and always accommodative. The place is clean, friendly and comfortable. What's not to like?

This is a wonderful hostel is just a stones throw away from town with everything you could possibly need from sparkling bathrooms to breakfast every morning and has a really friendly, relaxed vibe. Such a lovely stay, made all the more special thanks to the lovely Rose - couldn’t ask for a better host. The perfect base for exploring the Bay of Islands and meeting great people along the way.

I loved this place, it is cosy and tucked out of the way from the buys party side of town. It has a nice little garden and everything you need, a well stocked kitchen, breakfast and clean toilets. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed.

Great location and kitchen. We never met the owner but the guy who showed us around was nice enough. Easy to walk into town and a good place to explore the region. Chilled atmosphere.

Rose the owner is lovely and runs a nice, little place. Breakfast is basic (cereal and toast) so bring yourself something is recommended. Wifi is bit slow.

Pros: - Quiet - Overall nice facilities and good vibe Cons: - Check out was very unclear. It would help to add more signage stating how the whole check in check out process works. We ended up getting nearly walked in by the cleaner.

Nice quiet, chilled out hostel. Location is good, just up the street from YHA and Base. Quite a variety of guests staying there. Everyone seemed pretty nice though. Bathrooms could get a little messy towards the end of the day but they are cleaned everyday, more the guests getting shower water everywhere more than anything! Only complaint is the bunk beds in the twin room could do with a little dusting but only a very small thing. Over all was good and would recommend.

Lovely hostel but bathrooms and kitchen could be kept a little cleaner...although may have just been down to those staying at the time. Also the bedroom doorhandles are squeeky and wake people up in the night every time someone opens the door so some oil on them would help. There were also hardly any bowls in the kitchen or forks! Generally a good hostel though in a good location and I would stay here again!

About 10 mins walk from town so a great location. Bathrooms were generally clean. Was quiet at night. Only problem is if your room is attached to the living/ kitchen block it is hard not to be woken up people at breakfast time or anyone cooking.
