Property Description

Pickwick Hall provides accommodation for tourists, students and other people who require cheap, clean and attractive short or long-term lodging. We are situated in central London, in the famous area of Bloomsbury, where writers and artists have lived for centuries (Dickens for example). Pickwick Hall is in the perfect location, about a three minute walk from the British Museum and the University of London and about 10 minutes from the entertainment and shopping districts of the West End, Covent Garden, Soho and China Town, but in a quiet street of Georgian town houses.

There is easy and direct access from Heathrow Airport by tube (straight to Holborn Station on the Piccadilly line) or by A2 Airbus to Russell Square. Choose either 'en-suite rooms' (with their own private bathroom) or the less expensive 'standard rooms' (with showers and toilets shared with a limited number of other guests).

Whichever you choose, the rooms will be furnished and otherwise equipped to the same level of comfort. Bed linen and towels provided; washer and dryer available for your clothes; continental breakfast and kitchen available to prepare your own meals. There is a sitting room with cable television and high-speed Internet.

Our staff is on hand to answer your queries, speaking, Spanish and French and a high standard is maintained to ensure your stay with us is comfortable.

Being a small hostel you can expect personal attention and good accommodation at a reasonable price. View House Rules

This was a fantastic location for me and is a 2 minute walk away from the British Museum and 5 - 10 minutes walk from the underground. Bus stop just outside the hotel as well. Staff and owners all made me feel very welcome and other guests were very friendly too. No problem at all with my room.

Excellent value for money! I stayed in a private double room with a shared bathroom - the room was basic but comfortable and sufficient, and was spotlessly clean. Wifi coverage in the room was a little patchy but worked fine in the lounge. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I was able to check in earlier than expected. A great, budget option in an excellent location!

We were given a friendly greeting. The house was warm, quiet and although a,little worn, clean and comfortable. The shower room was basic but plenty of hot water, the addition of soap and towels a pleasant surprise. Breakfast of cereal/ toast ,( as much as you want ) tea or coffee was good, but I would have liked some fruit juice. Overall, a warm, no frills affordable, hostel. I would certainlyvstay there again. Thank you.

A quaint little place with a cosy, historical feel. Nice old furniture and atmosphere. Quiet, safe neighborhood right next to the British Museum. The staff were helpful. The continental breakfast was dull and lacked protein and fruit options, but if you brought your own eggs, cheese, meat and fruit the breakfast provided would be a solid base. There is a nice little library in the sitting room. Overall, it's quite a charming little place and I had a restful night. A good value for London.

Positives about this hostel: it’s central, easy to get to and cheap. Negatives about this hostel: it’s run down and feels grubby to be honest. The member of staff I met did not have particularly good customer service skills. The women in my dorm seemed to be staying there more long term, although this isn’t an issue in itself it felt as if I was encroaching on their home. And lastly I got bitten whilst I was there, I’m not sure if this was an issue with the cleanliness of the hostel or not.
