Property Description

Pickwick Hall provides accommodation for tourists, students and other people who require cheap, clean and attractive short or long-term lodging. We are situated in central London, in the famous area of Bloomsbury, where writers and artists have lived for centuries (Dickens for example). Pickwick Hall is in the perfect location, about a three minute walk from the British Museum and the University of London and about 10 minutes from the entertainment and shopping districts of the West End, Covent Garden, Soho and China Town, but in a quiet street of Georgian town houses.

There is easy and direct access from Heathrow Airport by tube (straight to Holborn Station on the Piccadilly line) or by A2 Airbus to Russell Square. Choose either 'en-suite rooms' (with their own private bathroom) or the less expensive 'standard rooms' (with showers and toilets shared with a limited number of other guests).

Whichever you choose, the rooms will be furnished and otherwise equipped to the same level of comfort. Bed linen and towels provided; washer and dryer available for your clothes; continental breakfast and kitchen available to prepare your own meals. There is a sitting room with cable television and high-speed Internet.

Our staff is on hand to answer your queries, speaking, Spanish and French and a high standard is maintained to ensure your stay with us is comfortable.

Being a small hostel you can expect personal attention and good accommodation at a reasonable price. View House Rules

Pickwick Hall is a delightful accommodation right in the heart of London. If you are after the atmosphere of historic London that is very affordable, clean, and welcoming then this is the place for you. A simple straight through Tube ride from Heathrow (no changing trains) will take you to the very heart of London where the museum, Trafalga Square, Covent Garden etc are just a short stroll away. Highly recommend it.

Excellent location in a quiet Bloomsbury street between two traditional squares (city parks), close to an Underground station, and about 25 minutes' walk from Trafalgar Square. Cooking facilities are good. My four-person dorm room had a mini-fridge and a washbasin, and I could open the window for fresh air. The only minor drawback was the showers, which are tiny and need additional hooks for towels, clothing, etc.

Excellent value for money! I stayed in a private double room with a shared bathroom - the room was basic but comfortable and sufficient, and was spotlessly clean. Wifi coverage in the room was a little patchy but worked fine in the lounge. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I was able to check in earlier than expected. A great, budget option in an excellent location!

This hostel provided a quiet nights sleep for myself, my husband and ou 9 year old after watching a show and lots of walking. The big surprise was at breakfast when we had to wait for a table........there were so many people..... we had no idea there were that many guests from the previous night as the hostel was so quiet !! We were able to leave our bags until our journey home in the evening, and I was able to leave my oat milk in the fridge which was a huge help. Fantastic area to stay in too.

Pickwick Hall was a quiet, lovely row Victorian in a prime location. The girl’s dorm provided separate real beds for each person with bedside tables, lamps, bureaus, a refrigerator, microwave and closet...a clear notch above the standard hostel. The bathrooms were clean, the kitchen/dining room was tidy and the common room was spacious. Space in the dorm was a wee bit cramped when we all had our suitcases open, but much better than many other London hostels. I will definitely return!
