Stayed at Pinneapple Park for 10 nights along with my brother in a private 2 bed suite. Had our own private area of the deck and private bathroom. I would stay again in a heart beat, the big Island was far more than I ever bargained for, as was the hostel. Annie takes amazing care of the place, she was always up before us and seemed to be up quite late taking care of the place. I will always remember how kind and welcoming it was for us. Thank you for everything Annie. I will be back.

The door to the property is wide open to anyone so didn’t feel comfortable leaving our door open for breeze. Fans in all rooms are a must but we got ourselves a loaner! Thank you Tina! She is amazing and a delight to chat with. Would definitely come back!!

A real oasis with lots of cosy common room spaces and great sea views. We had a lovely double room which was very homey with a soft comfortable bed. Tina, one of the staff, was a fantastic host who welcomed us warmly and had lots of great travel tips. Our only issue was the owner deciding to lock the kitchen one evening after we were told it would be open, meaning we couldn’t access our stuff when we came home from a night dive. It seemed a bit unnecessary and her approach was a bit rude.

The location is a bit far from Kona if you don't have a car. But, the atmosphere at Pineapple Park was calming and welcoming. Plenty of places to chill and relax, and the staff (Tina) went above and beyond in helping me out. I'm sad to hear that she's leaving. I will absolutely be back.

The staff at this location did NOT know what they were doing, overcarged my card, then tried to say i did not pay the next night and LITERALLY BOOTED ME OUT ON THE STREET, even though i had another card they could have charged. SUPER STRANGE EXPERIENCE would NEVER stay here or recommend

Pineapple Park Hostel suited two older women friends well. Annie Park "runs a tight ship" with rules posted. Kitchen and open areas are clean and well supplied with utensils, dishes, ice packs. 10 pm quiet time, enforced, wifi reliable. Our "Purple Room:" Clean ensuite bathroom with shower, separate sink, small refrigerator, two beds, shared lanai with sea view. However, the money belt I accidentally left under the pillow was stolen. Major downer!

    - 10 inches between bunk ladder and wall. nothing to hold when going up. - waking up and stretching hands, you might loose those hands by hitting the fan - says reading light, not there - no charging plugs next to bed - mattress smaller than bed size, leaves space for items to drop from all 4 sides of upper bunk - kitchen closes at 10. can't eat your own food after 10. - ants in kitchen everywhere this review is for Beach House Hostel where they relocated me.

Overall I had a poor experience. Mostly because the lady at check in was very rude. When I was confused about the price she got very defensive. She called her boss to explain to me how the pricing works and the boss told me to look closer at the email. Neither of them helped me with my confusion. It was obvious the check in woman had no idea what she was doing. I checked into the 6 person dorm and when I asked for a key the check in lady sarcastically told me “well you’re in the dorms honey”.
