We stayed at pippies before and after their Fraser Island tour (which was amazing). A nice hostel, with a good atmosphere. Quite small in terms of kitchen size but a good bbq outside. Some rooms don’t have air con but the fans work just fine.

Stayed in a private double. Nice room. Bathroom and kitchen area very clean. One minute from greyhound bus stop. Good base to travel to fraser island.

Great hostel to stay in if you are stopping for Fraser Island. The kitchen was a bit of a mess, we had a mini kitchen near our Fairy Princess room which was pointless (no cutlery, plates, cooker, nothing). TV/Netflix wasn't working, WiFi never reached our room. Free breakfast 7:30-8:30 so could haven been on for longer if you don't want to get up early. Bathrooms were really clean. So much better than Freedom hostel! Staff so friendly. Really close to the main strip and beach 5 min walk.

Decent hostel as a stay over before Fraser Island. Had many small families staying in. Good kitchen facilities, and parking onsite. Single room bathrooms for mutiple rooms to share could get busy.

It was an interesting set up at this hostel the kitchens were clean but being given our own set of cutlery/crockery to keep with you in your room for the entirety of your stay was strange. Came back after a day trip to find the cleaners had left our dorm room wide open with our stuff in the room (there were no lockers). But the location is great as the greyhound stop is right outside.

I really like the hostel, staff were friendly but there is next no one in rainbow beach at the moment and when I checked in I was 1 of 2 guests in the entire hostel. But if you are coming for Fraser Island it gets alot better as people arrive for the Pippies Fraser Island trip, and by far the best option for fraser island trips.

Stayed only for one night and would not want to stay longer. The mattresses were by far the worst I’ve had during my trip so far, super noisy and uncomfortable! Generally not very clean and the kitchen was a mess. Hardly any equipment and you had to borrow your own set of cutlery & crockery. I kind of understand why they are doing this but it’s just annoying to carry that around with you and make sure you don’t actually lose any of it bc then you don’t get your deposit back.

The room the venue the general place was fine. The bed was terrible, the door to the room is jammed and makes heaps of noise when oping and closing. The floor squeak so any movement awakens everyone.

Stayed in the 4 bed tent & wouldn’t recommend. It’s not a particularly noisy hostel but the tent is right beside the communal area/ kitchen you can hear every conversation all night. They organise Fraser tours from the hostel so you will hear about 30 people right outside your door at 6am. The ‘door’ was awful, didn’t shut properly and kept getting jammed. Staff weren’t overly friendly and the kitchen was grim. Weird cutlery set up. However pretty clean in the rooms and bathroom & great location

Stayed here before the pippies tour to Fraser, rude receptionist, mattresses were super thin and squeaky, would advise going to rainbow instead!
