    Superb

Our stay at Pop Up Hostel was extremely pleasant. The place is clean and a great value for money, we couldn’t believe how cheap it was when we booked. When arriving the staff were extremely approachable and friendly. We were able to store our luggage as we were early and then go about our day in Budapest. The rooms are fairly small but appropriate for the price and a short stay. We read reviews prior to how it was unclean but we don't feel this is fair. Thanks again for having us!

    Superb

Our stay here was excellent. Clean, with the option of private rooms, 24 hour staff, cheap cold bubbly water for sale at the desk was important in warm weather, kitchens with cooking facilities and microwaves and vending machines that sold heatable meals. Only thing missing was convenient do-it-yourself laundry. Could also use reading lights next to each bed. Easy walk to easy to use public transportation. They will be back next summer and so will I.

    Fabulous

The hostel is a pop Up hostel, which is regularly a dorm. Very large hostel. There no real common area or launge. Just lots of rooms and halls. No backpacking or hostel atmosphere. The rooms are nice with good beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get to the city center by bus. All in all good value for the Costa and quite nice if you like a quiet hostel.

    Very Good

Building is a university dorm. No real good place to relax at the hostel for meeting other travelers. It was a good place to sleep at and had no real issues. Staff were nice and helpful. No security lockers and just a normal room to store bags. Location is a bit off from the city.

    Good

Only stayed for one night as a quick stopover. Location isn’t great. It was difficult to find/a long walk through Budapest from the airport shuttle bus. I would recommend following the hostels directions regarding public transport. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. Check in/out was easy. Was perfect for one nights stay. Also the rooms have en-suites but no bathrooms, something to keep in mind.

Toilets are public and disgusting. Note that it's on a hill. You have to climb always. Rest was nice.

We arrived at the hostel and were immediately disappointed. The room was filthy! Hair on the floor, dirty bedding that smelled used. Insects crawling out from under the bed and the “en-suite” was a sink and a shower(also filthy) and no toilet! The toilet was a communal bathroom down the hall! We asked to move rooms and reluctantly we were moved into a room that was exactly the same. Dirty and unclean. Women on the front desk were rude and laughed at us, however manager was helpful.

Basically a students dorm transformed in a hostel. Don't expect much and in terms of cleanliness it's quite bad. If you just need a bed to crush on, then it's gonna match the expectations otherwise, nope...

Dirty bedding, you could smell that someone already have slept in it. The whole room was dirty, full of dust. I have also found human hair on floor, as well as in bed area and smelt urine from the bed which put me off that much I had to leave. How come hostel doesn't meet basic cleanliness standards? This place should be closed up. Also, incompetent manager who couldn't handle my complaint with appropriate manner. Would not recommend to anyone. Horrible experience and loss of money.
