Lovely old cottage with plenty of little nooks and crannies. Friendly staff. Very clean with an excellent recycling system and a well set-up kitchen. In centre of town and easy walking distance to shops, eateries, pubs, the river and beach.

Loved my stay, but I think it would have been a completely different experience had there been more people staying. I had a private room and I don't think there was anyone else staying on my floor so it stayed very quiet! The bathroom is located in a different building, which was inconvenient. The grounds and building are beautiful; however, note that Wifi is only offered in the main building and you have to pay for it! Tried calling the manager as directed when I arrived, but couldn't connect.

Pros: good location, friendly staff, comfortable beds Cons: so loud you can hear everything through the walls, open air door to the bunk rooms, no privacy

    Very Good

Great location and the man at the front desk was extremely lovely- went well out of his way to offer local advice. We stayed in the ten bed ‘stable’ room and thought the beds were a little old and noisy and could do with being replaced at some stage. You can also hear everything from the room above you - it is an old building so there isn’t much that could be done about this but nonetheless it was disruptive of our sleep.

    Very Good

Only spent 1 night here as a stop over on the GOR. Private room for 6 with en-suite. Property has a lot of history. Lovely garden area outside. Looked like reasonable cooking facilities although we did not use. Common areas comfortable. Pool table for hire. Staff friendly. Excellent location in the middle of town close to the supermarket and restaurants. Property is very dated and a little shabby but overall good value for money. Felt that room not secure/locks could be easily broken into.
