When we first arrived, they guy at reception was really nice. But if a downside was that we had to pay in cash which meant going to an ATM to get money out. Other than that, the rooms were nice (beds squeaked a fair bit), and the toilets were clean. There was no female showers on the 3rd floor (where our room was) so we had to go downstairs which was a little uncomfortable. Kitchen was tiny for how many people were trying to cook. In a great location though, and would recommend.

Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Had a pleasant stay despite the fact that we were moved to their sister hostel since there was an emergency but everything worked out fine. Wifi was slow however.

Hostel is in a brilliant location! 2 bed private was clean. Door was incredibly difficult to open to a point where in bashing the door open some of the ceiling fell off. Had to pay in local currency cash on arrival, was not impressed as this was a large amount of my cash gone. Due to the structure and materials of the building when people were shouting at night in the corridor it was very loud in the room. Security to stop this shouting and arguing could have been better.

    Fabulous

It was quiet and clean. There is a restaurant attached to the hostel and as a result, the building and our room stunk like food. The shower area was bright and clean. Overall, I think the hostel could invest in new lighting. New, brighter lightbulbs would improve the appearance tremendously. Their slight step ups are not marked and my mom tripped and seriously hurt herself. There are lots of stairs which makes it hard for an elderly or injured person to go up and down. Good experience overall

I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel. Although I know there was an issue of overbooking for some people, the front desk person seemed very happy to help everyone. I also got many tips and advice from him! A great place to meet people in the common room. Don’t expect to have a super quiet night or really amazing and clean facilities. It’s just what you need for a weekend!

My friend and I specifically booked this hostel as it was close to the city centre and were only stayed for 12 hours. Upon arriving, we had been told that there was an issue in our room and we could no longer stay at this hostel and that our booking had been changed to Old Prague Hostel, which was actually a kilometre away from the square. We were offered no means of compensation, no guidance of transportation to the new hostel and instead were just sent on our way. Appalling customer service.

Prague Square Hostel says

This is a very culturally and historically rich area, and one of our most unique aspects is that we're in a historical building with the Old Prague legends on the walls.
Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock are just 150m away and the Jewish Quarter's only a two-minute walk, while Charles Bridge is just five minutes away. I recommend that people also visit the Lennon Wall, the Letna Park Beer Gardens and Golden Lane. We've got exclusive discounts for some must-see places in Prague, like museums, tours and local bars and restaurants. Marek, Owner/Manager
