We enjoyed a lot the dinner, it was very simple, but very tasty. Yaner, who was in charge at the reception, was absolutely adorable! She shared a lot of useful information and travel tips with us!

Well located in the Ciudad Vieja, a nice place to stay in Montevideo, free breakfast and free dinner, everything is pretty clean, nice spaces The only "bad" is the wifi that is very slow or even doesn't work well, but that's not the most important

Nice place to stay in Montevideo run by a nice family, internet not the best but otherwise gd. Can get cold but this seemed to be the case in all all of Uruguay and there was a gas strike on, fine if you wrap up. Get an access key too which is really useful if you’re planning on coming back late.

    Very Good

Dinner is a lie! Profile says "Uruguayan asado on our terrace every-night for your enjoyment," but the reality is a small and cheap snack, such as a small portion of white rice with a little egg, about 10 lentils, and a dusting of shredded carrots. Whatever, that's fine--but don't call it dinner, and certainly don't all it Uruguayan asado! My other gripe was the roaches. The place seems clean on the whole, but the kitchen is filled with roaches, and they pop up elsewhere too. Ewwww.

I’m fairly sure there is no better placed hostel in ciudad vieja. Very central and close to everything in the old town. House was old and cold. No atmosphere at all (although being fair it was low season). Staff okay. Expensive to wash clothes. Facilities and breakfast poor/non-existent. Kitchen bad. Would be fantastic for a night or two to see the city but not for a long time. Oh and everyone is right about the WiFi, it’s bad.

I booked this hostel online but when I got there they were confused as they were fully booked and had no spare beds. The receptionist/owner was scratching his head and didn't know what to do. He first told me they had spare beds then after waiting for more than half an hour they didn't. He was trying to figure out if someone was suppose to check out when I got there at 7 p.m. He also didn't refund the deposit I paid. Very annoyed at the whole situation.

DIDN'T OPEN THE DOOR. I arrived at 7am after an 8-hour bus ride, rang and rang the door bell but nobody answered. I could hear the bell ringing and for 15 minutes I kept pressing the button, nothing. After the long bus ride I really needed to go to the toilet, had to go to the McDonald's, borrowed their wifi to check my booking, went back to the hostel closer to 8am and still nobody answered. It is not a nice area to be hanging around in the early morning when there are few people. Hopeless!
