Great Hostel with a big open area, young and very nice owner, lots of surf dudes, 2 kitchens, 24z pool.... One of the best Hostels I have ever stayed in. If you are coming to St. Teresa, this is where you wanna stay!

Very helpful staff. Nice facilities and many hammocks. But very thin walls and there was a bit of an ant problem... Close to supermarket, where the local bus also stops, and to the beach. The WiFi was fair but not super fast, 6/10

We loved our stay here! The staff was super welcoming. There was an extra room they let us upgrade to and the facilities were clean and accommodating. They even have surf boards you can take out whenever! The grounds were so beautiful and the pool was a great feature. It’s close to a store and some great restaurants and obviously the beach! Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again myself. T

This place is really pretty at night with the lights and a fun place to hangout! The hammocks were a nice place to chill. The staff helped us book activities/bookings which was really helpful. Quick walk to the beach and many restaurants close by. The wifi worked great, as well. But we found our private room to be uncomfortable and the overall cleanliness of bathrooms, rooms, pool, kitchen, etc to not be that good. Soap and a bit more privacy in the bathroom would’ve been awesome too!

We stayed for two days at Pura Vida Mini Hostel. The staff is nice and helped us getting a great surf instructor. However, the rooms smell like the matras had been wet and dried a couple of times. We asked for a different room, which was possible, but the smell was even worse. Also other places where not as clean (kitchen). That is why we decided to go to another hostel in Santa Teresa. Notice, every hostel in Santa Teresa (we have seen) have cold showers.

The pool was filthy, as were the kitchens. There was nowhere comfy to chill either. The staff were lovely, but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

I would not recommend that hostel. When we got into our room, it was full of ants (fortunately the girl at the front desk had a product to get rid of them but they were back the following day). Very basic room , the showers were very dirty. My boyfriend rented a surfboard and one of the back fins broke accidentally and they tried to charge us 3 fins! My boyfriend had to go to several surf shops downtown to get one fin by himself (they threatened him with his passport) would not recommend!!

Seems like the sort of place that a number of years ago was really nice but now is just a hang out for the staff, who seem to care very little about upkeep, maintenance or welcoming guests. The bed I slept in can barely be described as a bed, the mattress was so useless that of the two hours sleep I managed to get, I could feel every wooden bed slat under me. Regardless of the price, avoid this place completely.

Been here 3 times previously & loved it. Now it's run by Argentinian volunteers who could care less about the clients and more focused on chilling with their clique. We had an incident where my friend arrived and there was someone sleeping in his assigned bunk. Reception was closed but the receptionist was drinking with his clique. He said it wasnt his problem and that he was off. It ended up being one of his friends. Avoid this place at all costs!
