Q4 was a great stay for a quick in/out NY trip. I’ve stayed in many hostels and by far this was the cleanest. I felt at home. The staff was great. I saw people constantly cleaning. Aaron at the front desk was helpful. The downstairs kitchen/ lounge area was clean and entertaining. I would def stay here again.

Bathroom could do with hooks or shelves. Some hairdryers only work on cold air a nuisance other have no power. Windows on ground floor allow some much noise from outdoor traffic. Top bunk beds should’ve sockets as only 2 plugs for lower beds always taken.

It's a nice place with a good location very close to the E / M R subway line at the Queens Plaza stop. This was the only hostel I have ever been in that doesn't charge you for a towel. It has bathrooms in each room, and the water gets hot quickly with nice high-flow shower heads. It has a decent kitchen/common area in the basement, and the neighborhood is in a professional area. The only drawback was that there is no elevator, but as it's only about four floors, that's not a big problem.

The place is good. Be prepared to noisy street (trains and traffic), but I was sleeping well despite noise.

    Fabulous

Pros: - No curfew - Friendly common area space - Convenient location - Nice decor - Free wifi - Felt safe - Staff helpful Cons: - Some items in a state of disrepair/outdated (e.g., bathroom mirror ripped off of wall in room, no toilet paper in certain communal washrooms, old style lockers that are a loud and clunky to work) - Bring your own lock, or they will charge you to borrow one - Washroom in 6 person room all in one room (not smartly designed for 6 people using it)

    Very Good

The location is perfect because 2 subway stations are in the area. Only bad thing is that you'll hear a lot of noise from outside, which are the subways and the traffic. This noise is also during the night. So the hostel is good, but due to the noise I had some bad night sleep, so personally I'm not going there anymore

Rooms were fairly basic in this hostel, pretty much just a bed and locker. Location was good. Ensuite shower was big. However, for a rather expensive hostel, it needed more amenities such as included breakfast or free tea & coffee to make the cost worthwhile.

Staff have a chip on their shoulder, with everyone - don’t take it personally maybe just find another guest to ask any questions. Needs maintenance all round. Lounge is great, location is super easy to midtown. Very little space for luggage. They will also charge you to leave your bags - not sure what the fee is for since you carry it in and out on your own. Would stay again but you should have low budget expectations

Would not recommend staying here. Staff are unwelcoming, communal areas are depressing, more thought has gone into the tacky decor than anything else. Room is fine but uncared for, the blind was broken, it was cold unless you put the excessively loud heater on which dries out the room and is impossible to sleep during due to the noise it makes. You can also hear the train and car traffic outside which can’t be helped but I imagine double glazing on the windows would be worthwhile.
