The Location was amazing. When looked out our windows we were in nature pure, directly on the banks of a loch. The staff was super friendly and gave us tips on what to see and what to avoid on the aisle of Sky. It is a great location to use as base when traveling around the region.. I would come back again, with no hesitations!!

Loved the remoteness. The room we stayed in was roomy and comfortable. The gathering area was especially cozy and comfortable. Would stay here again in a heart beat. My son and husband stayed here as well several years ago and loved it then as well.

Great hostel with friendly staff! Good atmosphere and stunning setting. The only thing would change is the oven which could do with an upgrade. Would definitely stay again!

A good weekend spent in the hostel. Comfy bunk beds with clean linen on arrival. Onsite drying room was well used and the kitchen was fully equipped. Ear plugs a must if you're in the dorms!

Great location for Munro bagging. Otherwise a pretty standard Scottish youth hostel. Beautiful view to the 5 sisters on a clear day.

Don't hesitate, go stay here. As a frequent Highlands traveler, this area was even more stunning than Glencoe, Cairngorms and what not, yes I'm for real! You could stay a whole week staying near the YHA. Some of the best hikes I've ever done Kintail from Morvich, etc etc with magnificent views over the Glenelg peninsula and five sisters, And as an ultimate super bonus; the weather was entirely cloudless for three consecutive days. If you want the best of travel of your life, go to Ratagan asap

Difficult to understand why this was described as a 'four star' hostel. I've stayed in better.

Fantastic location. The rooms had insufficient ventilation. One tiny window for a room with 8 bunks. The skylight could not be opened because of the midges and wasps (must be a nest nearby)—no screen, which would be so easy to fix. Women had just one toilet, sink and shower. Always occupied. The common room also very stuffy. A heater was stuckn on high and it was impossiblentonopen the windows because of the midges. We couldn’t sleep a wink, a shame considering the amazing location and potentia.
