Ratu Kini's is the ultimate island backpacker PADI dive resort on Mana. The island is a well-known tourist destination in the Mamanuca group and it is located about 30 kilometers west of Nadi Airport. The island is surrounded by white powdered sandy beaches, and crystal blue waters perfect for diving and snorkeling.

We operate a fully equipped PADI Dive Resort (R-36364) managed by experienced instructors and are great fun to dive with.

Nearby coral reefs and crystal clear waters make for some spectacular dive experiences. We dive the Supermarket, Gotham City, Plantation Pinnacle, Namotu Passage and other world famous dive sites, which are just minutes away. We also offer a full range of PADI Courses from beginner to professional level.

Other activities include island hopping other island resorts, kayaking, wake-boarding, windsurfing, Fijian entertainment with cultural dancing, and visiting the movie island Modriki, home of 'Castaway' starring Tom Hanks.

All bookings must use our boat transfers. Other transfers will only be acceptable after 10am each day.

For accommodation, we have mixed dormitories, double rooms, twin rooms, triple rooms, and one private family bure. All prices on accommodation include breakfast only. For dinners and lunches, we have a menu and one night for our traditional Fijian 'Lovo'.

    Superb

On a beautiful beach, delicious food (breakfast provided; my booking included lunch and dinner too), and great staff. Daily free activities, fair prices for excursions, and staff was helpful answering all my questions. Many backpackers stayed here so the social aspect was great. Keep in mind most of the island is closed off for filming of Surviver so plan accordingly. Also, lockers are in common area. Didn’t want to leave, but when I did I was serenaded goodbye. Overall great experience!

This was one of the best weeks of my life. The staff at Ratu Kini's are absolutely amazing, some of the friendliest people. The food was awesome (best fish and chips I've ever had) and it normally came out very promptly. Mana Island is gorgeous, and Ratu Kini's has tons of affordable day trips you can take around to other islands/snorkeling/diving/partying/etc. Half of the week there is live music during lunch and at night. I 100% will be coming back!!!

Amazing time, didn’t want to leave. Basic as far as the other islands go and the bed wasn’t the comfiest but the atmosphere more than made up for this.

Loved this place. Friendly locals working here! Would highly recommend diving here it’s incredible. Go for a walk around the island too. Food is really expensive and you can’t buy anything on the island so if you are on a budget take food with you. Bear in mind there is no fridge though.

Staff were fantastic and always looking to give you a positive experience - they deserve better living space. Facility needs money put into it. Tons of activities presented. Would like to see regular snorkelling/diving daily at different sites (only goes if 4 pax sign up which is hard if you are a solo traveller) and more info to see multiple islands of Fiji.

    Very Good

    23 Sep 2018
First of all, the island means magic, and it is. Sunset beach is beautiful with many fishes, rays and we saw 1shark in snorkeling ! Villages, walks in forest... very nice time here ! The hotel is ok, not really clean (the dorm was never cleaned up, sticky tables) no key so the door was always open. Staff nice and try to do the best, especially Joe ! Food is not the best. It could be better with +choice on meal plan. Most of the time there were no fish on "a la carte" and not enough cheap choice

    Good

We did enjoy our stay here. We were given a cottage which was nice, we had to move the bed as the a/c leaked, we did inform reception. The downside for us was when we woke up on our last morning to find all our belongings that were left drying on our balcony had been removed. We visited reception who informed us that security removes all items from balconies. This wouldn’t have been a problem if we’d have been informed of this rule but it wasn’t an issue any other night when we had stuff out!!

    Good

unfortunately the whole island is closed for filming of survivor so the beach directly outside the hostel is the only place you can go. Cons: The beach is ok, if tide is out u can’t swim. Too much litter floating in the sea & around the resort. Can’t walk to sunset beach. Water $5 a bottle. The cleanliness in bathrooms & toilets was of a very low standard. Pro: good atmosphere, food ok, dive centre & sites are excellent. They offer a free boat to see the sunset most days.
