    Fabulous

This was a great affordable option for visiting Reykjavik - easy to get to from bus station and easy to walk into the centre of town. Bathrooms a bit tired and need some attention structurally (loose faucets, etc) but they were clean. Dorm room clean, beds comfortable. I was there with my 2 young sons and we felt safe and secure.

The location is very convenient and you can walk to hostel form the bus terminal. And it is also closed to the bus station, which provides a big convenience for solo travelers

The man at the front desk was very accommodating and allowed us to store our bags when we arrived early. The location of the hostel was excellent to explore Reykjavik. We were allowed to check in at 2, but when we went to our room it was still being cleaned and there were linens and trash throughout the hallway. Overall we had a good stay for a good price.

The building isn't locked for night - anybody can go in - although the rooms are locked safely. The hostel is located very closely to the city center and to the buses to Keflavik. The reception works only 10-16 - if a guest goes sightseeing or hiking, he/she has no chance to meet the reception open. There's computer for guests - OK, but protected by password: what's a meaning of it? The facilities in bathrooms are pretty coarse - e.g. toilet cisterns are loose. Generally - worth of its price.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The location was 5 minutes walk from one of the main shopping areas however the reception hours and lack of lockers in rooms were the areas we believe could be improved a little

Very dirty! I don’t even think my sheets were changed. For the amount I paid I would think it would at least be clean. Good location and good kitchen/ outside table area. Anyone could just walk in though.

We had an incredibly poor experience at Reykjavik Hostel Village. From a disorganised check-in, to dirty pillows and duvets, the place didn't even really seem to be aware that it's a hostel at all. The kitchen/billiards room is outside the main building in a temporary structure that's easily accessed from the street, and our room didn't even have a blind on the glass door to stop people on the street looking in. We were also kept up until 2am by incredibly loud fellow guests playing music.

The place needs someone working on staff after 4 pm, ideally 24 hours a day. It is their policy to leave your keys in an envelope if you will check in after hours. I called to let them know our flight was cancelled and we would be there the next morning. We arrived after 6 am and our keys were not ready. stayed in hostels in more than 13 countries and this was the worst by far. The rooms were not clean. Our room smelled like cigarettes. Also missing a pillow. Paid two nights to stay 1 bad night.
