Property Description

This is the closest Riad/hostel to the main Bus/Taxi stations.
Apart from being a great departure point for many low budget trips to the desert and waterfalls and camel rides..
What you're seeing here is more than just a random house in Marrakech and here is why, this house is simply over 200 years old so you can imagine how many people, families and stories this place had during the last two centuries..
After walking into a small alley and stepping into this Riad trough its simple door you'll get surprised from what these little doors are hiding behind, the first thing that welcomes you to this place is the peaceful voice of water falling from a nice fountain in the center of a big open sky courtyard which is surrounded by a 360 degrees breathtaking view of the most authentic moroccan tiles and a sitting area under three colorful wooden arches.
Even the stairs that will take you to the first ground are an other peace of art and they're ended with a nicely made ceramic arch, when you're there you will received in the first floor by a two pillars 4 meters wooden door which takes you into a room of 33 meters square, and 4 more rooms in the same floor, then we go higher to the spacious roof terrace where you have a fairly big sitting area surrounded by plants and flowers all the year long. Was a very good riad for the money. We had a great stay, and the staff were excellent. If you want to take a desert tour, go with these guys! There are a lot of other people that will overcharge for tours or promise things that you won't get. The owner of riad itry offered us a tour, with no pressure at all and we got exactly what was promised! Some of the nicest people we met in Marrakech!

Our stay at Riad Itry was great. The friendly owner explained us everything about Marrakech right away, where to eat, where to go, how much to pay for products. The space was cozy and cute, there is a sunny terrace on the top and the traditional Riad shape is nicely preserved. We were a bit cold at night so they gave us more blankets and a heater to no extra cost. There is a basic shared Kitchen with fridge. The space is away from street noises and stress, in a side street in the Medina.

The best thing about this hostel for us was its location. Even though the hostel is minutes away from the main Medina tourists sites the hostels surrounding streets feel very authentic and relaxed than the streets south from there. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Ask them about the local hammam - very cool exp!

There wasnt any hot water one day but this was fixed quickly. There was a lot of loud talking at night on the ground floor so light sleepers beware and ask for a room on the roof. The hosts were helpful. Cold in the riad at night so make sure you bring lots of warm clothes for sleeping in :) good location right amongst all the local food markets and just a 5mins walk from where the airport bus stops.

Needs a little work on the communal areas, offering breakfast would be a big step, cheaper hostels offered this. Decor and rooms were fine but there's untapped potential

The hostel was very pretty, however the shower did not have hot water! I had to take cold showers my entire stay. The center is about 20 min walk from the hostel which is nice. The hostel staff did not warn me about any scams, which would have been nice. However I heard from people I met there that there are other places that have private bathrooms with hot water and free lunch so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Not a hostel that is was used to be in. There is not a nice common room where you can sit. The bed was terrible. I wouldn't stay here another time
