Rick was a great host! We enjoyed talking with him about his backpacking adventures and he was very helpful to us as we planned our adventures of the day. One of the best features of Rick’s Causeway Coastal Hostel is that is just steps away from the Ulster Way / Causeway Coastal Way. And the bus stop is nearly as close in the opposite direction. Rick’s hostel is close to shops and restaurants. It is an easy and scenic 3-mile walk to Portrush, where you can pick up the Causeway Coast Rambler bus.

Ricky is an amazing host, I went with my friends and from the minute we arrived he made us very welcome and left us to our own devices. Close to all, including beach. We will be back 😊

Great location for the causeway coast walk, about 50 meters from the sea and close to the shops in town, convenience store for food shopping about 1/2 mile away via a walk along the promanade. Rick very friendly, continental breakfast was provided for the pricely sum of £1. Very affordable, friendly and comfortable accommodation.

Feels like coming home. The first thing at arrival is you're being offered 'a wee cup of tea' on the living room sofa. When you look out of the window you see the sea (you can walk there in 1 minute). The owner and his family are absolutely lovely people. I would highly recommend this hostel to individual travellers, couples and families.

A nice place right near the sea. Rick is very helpful and kind. Security is not the best - no lockers in the rooms and the front door is left unlocked for the most part (which is convenient but could be problematic for some). Overall enjoyed my stay and would stay here again!

I have been a bit disappointed on my stay in February for my night during a wet winter, during the winter season the hostel is less attractive and does not offer the best value for money.

Rick is super kind. The view of the ocean is stunning. There are many books around the hostel for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is equipped with the basics for cooking dinner. Our toliet was broken when we arrived, but Rick was quick to inspect it and ordered a new part it needed. We used a different toliet instead. Overall it was a wonderful stay.
