Roatan Backpackers Hostel is one of my favorite hostels I have had a chance to stay at. The owner is so sweet and puts her entire heart into the operation. She takes care of her guest and makes the hostel feel like you are in your home living room. It is a warm and friendly environment with good people. The garden is beautiful and location is ideal. It is less than a dollar to get to the craziness of West End but it is tucked away in a quieter spot.

I loved my stay at this hostel!!! It was very clean and tidy, especially compared to most hostels and I always felt safe. The staff were always very kind and helpful and available! The pool and restaurant were very accessible and I loved lounging in the hammocks and pool chairs. The communal kitchen was a great set up for cooking meals together! The location was perfect and I would 100% recommend for anyone looking for tranquility and rest in a wonderful community .

Everyone at the hostel was very friendly and help you out. Mel sent out an ~10 page long list of things to do in Roatan, which made planning your trip so much easier. This was the nicest hostel I stayed in during my time in Honduras.

Wonderful backpackers that has a real family feel. Lots of people stay longer than they intend here and hats coz it has a great vibe. The kitchen is small for the number of people who wish to use it, but there is a pool and everyone has their own fan in the rooms so that all works out on the pros and cons. Thanks for such a nice stay!

Such a cute little hostel. The staff were so lovely and the hostel had everything I needed and only a 40Lps cab ride to west end if you want to get to the more buzzy area. Thanks for a lovely stay!

I didn’t stay at any other hostels in roatan but compared to Utila the hostel was dirty - the showers were absolutely disgusting. The location was alright, it’s only a 20-30 lempira ($1) collectivo or taxi to the more busy West Bay but I would recommend staying there so it’s in walking distance. Security was sub par.. the place is always open and there are no keys provided or lockers so essentially anyone can enter

Avid backpacker, and this place was easily the most vile hostel I've ever stayed in.  When I arrived there was nobody there to check me in, show me my bunk, show me around the hostel or even at a minimum give me the Wi-Fi password. my bunk was full of food crumbs, and what looked like powdered eyeshadow. It had clearly been somebody's sitting area before my arrival. No one to tell about it and I was so disgusted I slept on a wooden bench. Bathrooms were filthy, covered in mold. Dog poo all over
