After staying a while in the rush and speed of São Paulo, Rosemary Dream was the best place to slow down, relax, reconnect with nature and myself. Meditation, Yoga, Workshops, Hikes, awesome vibe, great staff, healthy breakfast, lunch and Family Dinner twice a week. Just be careful: lots of people come here to stay few days and end up weeks or months! Strongly recommend! Shout out to Caio, Lu, Gabi and Monica for making my stay so fantastic!

Wonderful views of Barra da Lagoa & a 5 min walk to two diff beaches! There are tons of places throughout the hostel's property to lounge & mingle. There are multilingual volunteers from around the world & lots of long-term guests so make plans to stay awhile to take advantage of the sense of community. If you want a home away from home in Florianopolis, you will find it at Rosemary Dream. There's something magical about this hostel. I look forward to staying here next time I'm in Floripa!

It's a good hostel, very very nice rooms and good facilities. However the community based in the hostel gave me a strange vibe - they really encourage some kind of group identity, which is totally not what i was looking for. Just keep that in mind, else the place is really fine.

Really beautiful hostel in a lovely location. We didn’t read the bit about not having alcohol or sugar e.c.t but was fine as they were able to recommend places outside to go and meant a very chilled vibe inside. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. The only negative was I didn’t have a mosquito net on my bed for the first night so got bitten a bit but as we arrived late at night (11ish) the staff were only able to get one the next day. Would and already have recommend !

    Very Good

Friendly staff in a nice clean hostel. Not my cup of tea as its a retreat more than anything with a policy of not allowing things like alcohol or sugar. If it's a detox or retreat style stay you're after its ideal. If not I recommend staying elsewhere.

It's not a bad hostel, it has an interesting concept - it's just not my kind of place. I found in some places it can be pretty basic. For example no plug sockets next to each bed point, so many alarms go off around the room with nobody turning then off. Although there is a nice community who are very close, at times it feels a bit too relaxed to the point of a little depressing in the main area.

Very nice location and property! But the staff / residents gave me the impression that I am (or my money is) the necessary evil they have to endure to finance the search for their perfect self (friendly but very superficial, 6% credit card fee without an ATM near, promised to reserve a bus ticket and never came back to me, washing machine only for residents, etc.)

AVOID! The hostel contradicted everything it advertises. Atmosphere felt borderline depressing. Staff were arrogant, unapproachable & disinterested. They're put before the guests. Got the impression that we were intruding on their life. Rooms: beds were dirty & tonnes of mosquitoes. No Wifi for two full days. Paid for the 'family dinner' & was violently ill. Vomited all night as did another guest. Actually don't have enough space to describe how rude the staff are & all the things wrong w/ RD.
