Edinburgh's Royal Mile is one of the most central locations in the city. Step outside our door in August – the Edinburgh Festival season – and you'll find all kinds of street performers, from bagpipers to clowns. Holyrood Palace, the Queen's official residence in Scotland, is a 10-minute walk away, while the 11th-century Edinburgh Castle is also a 10-minute stroll. There you'll be able to see the Stone of Destiny, used for the coronation of ancient Scottish kings. To get here from the airport, hop on the 100 bus for about 30 minutes and get off at Waverley Bridge. We're a 7-minute stroll from there.

Night owls can make use of the reading light, or use the free Wi-Fi for late-night scrolling.

Honestly, this place was super awesome. It’s literally in the middle of everything so it’s super handy to get around. The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. I also liked that they had a women only bathroom in addition to a shared bathroom. Will 100% stay here again!

Best bargain in Edinburgh, and the location could not be more perfect for walking, touring, and train connections. Small enough to not feel like a zoo.

Very clean and breakfast for 2 pounds. And FREE COFFEE! However there was only a few staff members that was nice and friendly, the rest were unfriendly and at times rude which was disappointing. It was not a social atmosphere so if you are looking to make friends here I would go to the bars instead.

Always a comfortable stay! The hostel is very small so depending on the vibe your looking for you’ll either hate it or love it. The staff is very nice and the facilities are always clean.

Love this hostel right in the middle of the old town, have stayed here multiple times, it's small and friendly, lovely kitchen area and common room, free tea and coffee, very attentive staff who make you feel very welcome. the dorm was a little stuffy, but apart from that, fantastic stay. recommended!

Great place. Loved the showers. Each bed had its own locker and you could live your luggage at the hostel before check-in and after check-out

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this hostel. Perfect location and nice kitchen and common area. The only inconvenience is coming in late night and having to be let in by someone from the neighboring hostel

Lovely place! Comfy, clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and great localization right downtown. Staff was helpful and friendly. My only problem was the noise and brightness in the room. The curtains didn't close properly, so at 4:30 am the room was flooded with light. And the noise on the street did not stop for a single minute - bars playing music, people yelling, cars going by... of course this is not at all the hostel's fault, but if you're not a heavy sleeper, will be hard to get any rest.
