Brilliant spot. 3rd time staying, great value and great atmosphere. Good base for exploring west cork, but wouldn't be great without a car.

We had a very lovely stay at this hostel, the building is gorgeous and very spacious with a lot of character. All of the facilities are generous and well catered for. The staff were beyond lovely and we even got a tour of the place - that’s a first! Would definitely recommend a stay here and I would stay again!

Solo female traveler. A very safe and atmospheric hostel. I felt at home as soon as I dropped my bags! The atmosphere is beautiful. We had a fire and a few drinks with the owner on the first night. I was shown where to pick some chocolate mint leaves from the garden to make fresh tea!! It’s definitely one of the warmest, homely hostels I’ve stayed in.

I used this as a Base Camp to visit Cobh's waterfront, Baltimore Beacon & at the Jameson's Distillery in Midleton. Staff was very knowledgable about the area. Helped me find a Stone Circle (Drombeg) that was close by and visit a SaltWater Lake near Baltimore. Farm style table for getting together after a day of site seeing. I had a private room that was very quiet and showers with plenty of hot water. I will definitely come back when I can do the kayaking adventures they have.

    Fabulous

I stayed 3 nights with my five children. The staff were very welcoming and generous, providing free food and inviting us to join them around the campfire at night. The kitchen facilities were good, the bathrooms clean. As the hostel was very busy during our stay, more toilets would have been great. One little niggle is that our room (Cape Clear Island) felt quite damp, especially the bedding. Overall though we liked the hostel with its quirky touches and friendly family atmosphere.

This hostel was fine but its location was a bit out off Skibbereen town...
