I stayed here while I was in town to get a tattoo and I much appreciated the more laid back atmosphere after a week in London. You'll have all the amenities you need like a kitchen with silverware and cookware, laundry (if you're willing to pay and it's not being used for sheets), showers, and comfortable beds. Trams (about an 8 minute walk) will take you into the center of town. Even then it's only a ~30 min walk without them. Would definitely recommend!

Good bolthole, a little out of the centre of Sheffield but easily accessed with the tram. Friendly, helpful laid back staff and great kitchen facilities

Location for exploring Peak District & staff were great- short walk to bus & tram stops. However, this place was D I R T Y. Super gross bathrooms & floors throughout especially. Atmosphere okay- no lounge area so you just have to meet ppl in the kitchen (which was fully loaded with ovens, stovetops, microwave, fridge). No lockers, keypad broken on mens dorm so you could just walk in. Overall they overcharge for what you get.

The good part - very safe and secure hostel, very clean (toilet regularly clean, even during the night), strong wifi. Quiet and peaceful. Nice spacious kitchen. The not-so-good: not as close to the city centre or the tram as the reviews said. Clueless staff: they were so incredibly clueless about city things - getting around, etc, I felt I knew more about the city in 4 days than this staff. They said free breakfast: no issues with cereal but bread lovers: no jam, just honey and butter!

The hostel was in a good location in town. Off-street parking only had 2 available spaces, but street parking on a hill was available. The hostel itself was dirty and had an off smell. The carpet in the room was dirty, but the bed linens seemed clean. The kitchen was dirty and unorganized so we washed everything prior to use. Okay place to stay, but definitely room for improvement.

The management did not keep on top of the kitchen. Users did not wash up leaving their dirty used things in the sink. The kitchen was poorly equipped possibly because users stole the cutlery. Lids did not fit saucepans or were broken..Users were not considerate in how they used the kitchen often hogging the table with their computers that they listened to on high while we ate. The fridge was dirty and full of old food.
