Safestay Gothic is in Ciutat Vella district, very near Museu Picasso, Jaume I metro stop and Barcelona Cathedral, and about 15 minutes' walk to the beach, the aquarium and the Maremàgnum. We like their 'cubicle' style of bunk beds which create a little personal space in large dorm rooms, with privacy curtains, reading lights and power sockets. Many of our guests say they also appreciate the breakfast and the hostel's rooftop terrace.

Barcelona is a city of charming streets, busy with people and full of life. The old town, comprising the Gothic quarter, the Rivera and Raval districts, is famed for its historical monuments, narrow streets and bohemian atmosphere. The city also has the biggest selection of modernist architecture; most of these buildings are in the Eixample district which constitutes a unique model of European urban planning.

Barcelona is the only European capital with over four kilometres of beaches where you can enjoy the most modern amenities and these beaches are not far from Barcelona's historical landmarks, and they have opened up our modern and cosmopolitan city to the sea.

The Safestay Gothic is one of the Safestay Hostels all around Europe.

Persons under the age of 18 are only allowed to stay in private rooms or dormitory rooms that are booked for use of one family or group of persons, and can't share dormitory rooms with other guests. People under 18 years of age must travel with their parents or legal tutor.

    Superb

really nice place to stay, really close to things and easy to check in and out, the common area was super nice some people played music while others just chatted, only thing was that some beds didn't have access to a power outlet yet not a major concern. I liked that the light was on a timer as well, i feel that's smart as many other hostels don't do this.

    Good

Good location, decent breakfast offered, friendly staff, beds were ok, pillows were flat, bathrooms were ok. My biggest complaint was how squeaky the floors were. It was hard to be considerate because they were just so loud when you walked on them, and it felt like everyone woke up everytime someone entered the room because it was so loud.
