    Fabulous

Clean, very good location only a short walk away from Elephant and Castle subway station. Weird vibe with a lot of the people there though, just odd people who weren’t very sociable. Woken up in the middle of the night by the fire alarm which didn’t stop for about 15 min. The shower is a whole room and there’s no where to put anything where it won’t get wet!

The hostel was in a good location which made it easy to see the main attractions of the city. Close walk to the underground and train stations. There were lockers in the six bed mixed room, but make sure to bring your own lock.

    Fabulous

Easy to find and very friendly staff! Also secure, and the cages in the room and curtains around the beds are nice features. Two complaints- the first night, the room was way too hot. Like, break into a sweat while lying in bed trying to fall asleep hot. The bathrooms that were separated from the showers were clean, but the ones that had the shower in the room had very wet, gross floors.

Decent hostel. 7 to 10 minute walk to the nearest underground stop. Nice beds that had a privacy curtain which was nice. Decent for solo, but I was only here one night so I couldn't tell what the vibe was. Really big hostel, but wasn't super full when I was there.

    Very Good

    06 Jun 2019
Staff were so rude at check in. When I arrived they acted like it was an inconvenience to check in over staffing changes and after asking me to come back 15 minutes later, I didn’t get to check in for 45 minutes. Wouldn’t recommend. The 6 bed room dorm with bathroom was nice and clean though.

    Good

Location was fine, close walk to metro to get anywhere in London but area is a little sketchy. Check in was easy, rooms clean and it was nice to have curtains but HOT. there was no ventilation or fans so we got little sleep. On a busy road too and window had to stay open. Roommates were fine, bathrooms were gross. Mold on the ceiling and some floors had water damage so that they were bouncy and squishy under the flooring cover walking on them. Otherwise fine.

THIS IS NOT A HOSTEL! It is falsely advertised as a hostel, when in reality it is accommodation for work team get aways and travelling students. It is enormous it has 380 beds, so if you want a hostel atmosphere this is the wrong place to go. In the morning the breakfast area is swarming with school children excited, because they are on some school trip. The 'ensuites' are 2 bathrooms shared between 3 dorm rooms. Safestay are a chain catering to commercial and school accom.

The triple room we stayed in was like a sauna, it was genuinely so hot we couldn't sleep! Air con is needed given how hot it can get in London. We asked for a late checkout and five staff memebers barged into the room between 10-12 without knocking which isnt great. It is cheap for London though so cant complain too much. I'd go back in the winter!
