We'll keep you safe - our Reception is 24/7 and we have a large international team, including the house cat (Tyson), living on site to help you squeeze the most out of your stay.

Free high speed WiFi throughout, a huge garden patio with free gym, communal lounge with a 85-inch UHD TV with cable, Netflix & PS5. Guests can also use our modern shared kitchen to cook their own lunch etc.

Dirty and stinky place. Not very welcoming staff either. The worst part, however, they’ve got bed bugs. I couldn’t sleep… had to leave early.

I would describe the overall experience of saint james backpackers as weird and unsafe. stayed in a female dorm was getting changed and a male housekeeping attendant just opens door and strolls in nonchalantly. I told the male housekeeping attendant to knock next time for safety and courtesy. i notified saint james backpackers my arrival for about 7pm.... when i arrived they advised me to come back in 15 minutes as they were doing a handover of staff....it was a joke hostel 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This was a pleasant surprise. Easy to find, just round the corner from Earl's Court tube station, in one of the nicer areas, and very welcoming both at reception and in the open layout. Looks much brighter in terms of space, freshly painted walls and design, than most hostels while the showers are multiple and the rooms feel safe and not crammed together, plus there's a basic breakfast, which is nicely laid out, in a large breakfast room.
