I absolutely loved my stay at Eduard Heinrich-Haus! The staff was very friendly (and English fluent), the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous, and the room was very comfortable. I definitely plan on returning to Salzburg in the future, and I'll be staying here again!

It's a really well-maintained place with courteous staff and good facilities. The only drawback is that it's slightly away from the city centre and the nearest city-bus station is about 5-7min by foot. This being said, the property is one of the better ones you can find in Salzburg and the short walk shouldn't put you off.

    Fabulous

I was actually moved to their sister location, which was more of a cheap hotel for big groups. However, the staff was SUPER nice, I was upgraded to a private room without charge, and decided to extend my stay in Salzburg. Had a great time and was a wonderful break from the big cities I’ve been traveling between

It is a shame that is located very far from the city center, but my companion and I had a very pleasant stay at the hostel. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Met some awesome people. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful offering insight to some great places. Breakfast was very good and nice coffee. Excellent security in rooms with spacious lockers. The only recommendations I have is putting soap in the bathroom/toilet in the rooms, having a hand towel and bath mat (as water went all over the floor) and making sure wifi works throughout the hostel as it only worked at reception, and towels.

    Very Good

    27 Jul 2019
We arrived at the hostel around 11 pm and basically used the place just for sleeping. The toilet and shower were inside the room, they were clean. Unfortunately our room did not smell very pleasant. We were all given a key for a separate wardrobe inside the room. But since it was a master key that could open any door, the wardrobes did not feel safe. There were only 2 sockets in the room for 6 people. You could reach city center by one bus but it doesn’t come often. The breakfast was nice.

As a solo traveller, this wasn’t a great place to meet people as it seemed a place for students/families. The location was not great, so I spent most of my time in town and only went back to the hostel to sleep. A bit pricey, though everywhere in Salzburg is pricey.

Staff were friendly, rooms spacious and the hostel was clean but that was about it. Took me almost an hour to walk into the centre of the old town. Showers were cold. I arrived at 1pm and everything was locked and no one around reception. I had to beg someone in the kitchen to let me leave my bag until reception opened at 5pm. Otherwise would’ve had to wait for four hours. Wifi did not work. No atmosphere. Not really a hostel. Would not recommend.
