myself and six friends stayed at saucy Marys as an over night stop over on our motorcycle trip to the outer Hebrides. it was an excellent choice. the onsite food and rooms great value for money, clean and tidy facilities, great location in the town near other restaurants and bars, should you wish to use them and the staff were all first class, I would definitely go back again. 1st class place

Good place to stay if touring skye. Just over the skye bridge it's easy to get to and a good price to make it an alternative to camping. The staff were helpful and friendly. I will visit again sometime.

I was a bit scared to book this hostel because it looked a bit far away from the tourist attractions in Skye and read some more negative comments about the surrounding of the hostel and prices, but we were very pleased with our stay! The staff at the reception was very welcoming and chatty, the room was clean, and our pepperoni pizza and Scottish breakfast tasted great too! Also, there was a self-catering kitchen and the attractions on the North side were easily accessible by car.

It has not been a quiet stay. More management was required as bunch of people were standing in the front of the property loudly partying all night along and nobody actioned.

Rooms were far from clean, toilet and shower were just as bad. The water let off a horrible smell in the mornings. Paper thin walls could hear everything going on next door which wasn’t pleasant at 2am.. The room genuinely felt like a prison cell bunk beds and a sink.. The mattresses felt like we were sleeping on slate. We paid £150 for two nights and what we got was absolutely shocking. Would not stay again..

I have been to this place on 2 occasions. On both times I gave a great rating as it was a cozy place to stay and the shortcoming could be overseen by friendly staff. This is not a thing anymore, their customer service receptionist was insanely rude, and when I asked to check for something I left in reception 5 minutes before close and I was told to take off. Such a shame, before I would have recommended this place in a heart beat. Whoever worked evenings on May 28 - male - needs to be let go
