It was so cool to fall asleep and wake up to the sound and sight of waterfalls. This hostel had so much to offer for things to do and in a perfect location to explore Jungfrau and other parts of the alps. I just returned home and I am already planning how to return to this paradise on Earth called Lauterbrunnen. PS the bar was awesome and bring coins for hot showers

Beautiful hostel, super clean, beds in the dorm are twin beds instead of bunk beds and they’re very comfy and clean. The 12-bed dorm is divided into four rooms of three beds, so it doesn’t feel as big. Washrooms were always clean. As mentioned by others, you have to pay for hot showers (50 cents /4 minutes) and burners in the kitchen (2 chf/15 minutes). 15-minute walk to Lauterbrunnen’s “main street”, and beautiful views! Loved it here.

Overall a great experience. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, however they were extremely hot - seemed to retain heat, and they had no air conditioning or fans. Also, the paid showers, and wifi (that had terrible signal and I could only use it for 10-15mins of the 2 paid hours), should be included in the costs. I understand there are hot water restrictions. If this is the case then maybe provide tokens that last 10mins - 1 per person per day? As for wifi, this is simply a necessity.. thanks

Friendly very helpful staff , amazing views. Main negative was that it was very hot in the cabin and that there were a lot of noisy tour groups - but they did quite down after midnight

    Very Good

Overall, my stay was decent! This is an amazing location because the view is surreal. Shower does cost money! The reception is not 24 they are only open for limited amount of time untill check-out and after 4. Which can get annoying, especially if you run into problems after they leave because they don't leave a contact number for emergency! Staff is nice, however there are some people in the staff that will blame you if you have a problem with their service and will start to accuse you!

    Very Good

Good camp style hostel. My friend and I were upgraded to private room instead of dorm because there were tour groups staying there as well. No lockers in room. Had to pay with coins for shower, washer, and stove. Microwave free of charge so bring microwavable food! Close to station and nice walks. Overall a good place.

The owner or manager was probably the rudest individual I’ve met, she had no interest in helping or providing an enjoyable experience for anyone, the rest of the staff were more helpful. But having to pay for everything there was highly inconvenient, €2 for a freezing shower or a hot plate that didn’t work also seemed abit steep. Overall good location but don’t bother asking reception for anything.
