The garden was fantastic and the dog was super cute! The staff were very helpful, explaining how the travel card works and what places I should see while in Sydney. I travelled alone but it was easy to talk to others in the garden which looked even better at night with the lights on around the trees. My room was very clean and I scored a bottom bunk - bonus! They have events every evening - the girl that made the tacos was fab!

staff were friendly and helpful, close to the train station and a nice park, but it was so dirty we chose to sleep in the airport instead of stay there another night, i was scared to look down the side of the bed cause i didn’t know what i was going to see, found a dead cockroach in our room, bathroom was so gross aswell i almost didn’t want to shower in there, also inside our room was freezing had to sleep in quite a few layers to keep warm

Cheap place close to the central. Besides that, there is not much to praise.

This hostel is great for those looking for a party vibe - people were up late drinking and smoking. On this occasion we were looking for somewhere a bit more relaxed so this wasn't ideal. The facilities and room were dirty on arrival and throughout stay, bathroom door didn't lock, the showers in the building didn't work very well at all.

Didn’t feel very welcomed once arriving. when I asked politely if someone was able to help me with my bags, the response was “ were not a hotel service, we don’t have porters! “ little did they know i had stitches in my arm, there was a reason behind why I was asking for someone to HELP ME! Then I asked a second member of staff and his response was; “you will be able to ask one of the guy guests, it’s easy for you too, because your a girl” which was extremely sexist!! Wasn’t impressed.

I lived in that hostel for 6months and I had the best time. But unfortunately, since the new manager arrived, the hostel is like a prison. The staff spy on the garden even when they don’t work, you can’t drink, can’t play beer pong, can’t smoke, can’t even just breathe or you get kicked out of the place or they call the police. That person should never work in hospitality they have no respect for backpackers they treat us like we are nothing. Don’t book at that hostel its a real nightmare.

SG was an amazing hostel back in 2018, the atmosphere was incomparable and the people I met are truly amazing. The hostel is now quite possibly one of the worst I’ve ever stayed! Staffs were rude and arrogant. I was woken up one morning by police officers. dog poo and wee littered all around the hostel and kitchen.the only thing eating in SG is bedbugs.
