This was the best hostel I’ve ever been to. Our shower broke and we told the staff late at night and they came and fixed it right away. Amazing location, extremely clean and comfortable, and very friendly staff.

We stayed in a private one bed with a bathroom en-suite and let me say - it was GORGEOUS. We had a king bed, a desk, a living space and a patio overlooking the Acropolis. We spent a good amount of time on the rooftop bar/restaurant enjoying coffee, bear, cocktails you name it as we watched the Acropolis and even some lightning across the Athenian sky.

Excellent place to stay in Athens. The location is fantastic - inadvertently ended up being on the same street at two of the best places to eat in Athens (dungeon restaurant and small plates restaurant across the road). Easy to walk everywhere. Brilliant facilities, comfortable beds, a balcony and the best shower we’ve had on our trip so far. The rooftop bar has an incredible view of the Acropolis and 360 views of the entire city. Was worth paying a bit more for comfort and fast internet.

I stayed there twice in June and the staff were super friendly both times. The beds in the dorms were some of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in. I loved that the dorms had balconies and the rooftop was incredible. Loved the pesto rigatoni!! The negative was that there were lots of big American groups staying that didn’t seem aware how a hostel works. My bed and locker were already used when h got to my room the second visit. The staff were great and upgraded me to a private room 10/10!

Selina Athens is a modern hostel located quite close to the busy Monastiraki district. The central location means many of the main sites are within walking distance (taxis are cheap in Athens as well). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area and the property has a nice modern feel to it. The only thing is that the luggage storage is above the bed so that was a bit annoying as I am tall i kept hitting the storage box and just like getting anything out from the luggage was a hassle. The area that the hostel is located in seems a bit poorer but I never felt unsafe and its a short walk to the central area where there are lots of places to eat and drink with a few ruins as well

Great place to stay, really clean and great staff, location is a little bit dodgy but is easy enough to find from the metro. Amazing rooftop bar but beware of the high prices. Really good atmosphere, everyone in my room was friendly

It's a very nice place, with all facilities you can imagine, but it really doesn't look like or have a hostel vibe! It's much more like a hotel. We wanted to cook our own food and eat on the terrace to enjoy the view but the manager asked us to leave as they serve their own food on the terrace so it was not allowed?! This was too much for me, definitely kills the hostel vibe. That's the reason almost anyone was cooking and interacting in the hostel facilities, just if you pay for it! lol

Walking distance to Acropolis and to a nice area with restaurants and a flea market, but you do have to walk through some slightly sketchy alley ways in order to get there. Our bathroom was not cleaned well before our stay. There were clumps of hair from the previous guest in the floor of the shower. The location and the amenities are very nice, but the price is a little high for a hostel.

It's clean an well located but far away from a "Hostel". It's a hotel which sells the first floor as bunk bed rooms. Travellers coming mostly with suitcases than with backpacks.
