Property Description

Our new Selina Cuenca is a haven for nomads, travelers, and explorers redefining what it means to travel, work, and explore. Selina is not just accommodation. Yes, we offer (gorgeous, beautifully-designed) places to stay. More than that, we offer a place to connect with others. Find the perfect work-life balance with Selina Co-Working spaces and fuel your creativity in energetic vibes.
Each Selina location hosts daily classes that vary in style and intensity. We have activities that help you tap into the energy and culture of this city. Join our community for a little motivation – and to deepen the way you travel.

You can sense the artistic vibes everywhere, from the hotels that usually are converted colonial homes and mansions to murals around the city, music and many other artistic expressions. The bohemian vibes can be found throughout the parks, bars and restaurants in town.
Although most of Cuenca’s sites of interest are churches, parks and museums, outdoor enthusiasts should hit Cuenca for El Cajas National Park which offers spectacular hiking and trekking opportunities as well as mountain biking.

Selina Cuenca's dorms are not like you'd find in your typical hostel. We set the standard at a whole new level with a seating area, your own light, a personal shelf and locker for each bunk bed to keep your things secure. Bathrooms are shared.
Our private rooms are the perfect option for someone who wants the community experience, and also a space to chill at the end of the day.

This was a very nice hostel with privacy curtains, personal lamp and outlet in the bed. The sheets and pillow were really soft too. They also have daily activities.

Great location, in the middle of town. Very comfortable beds - each with curtains, plug socket and reading lamp in the dorms!! The staff were super friendly and helpfull. Well equiped kitchen. Unfortunately no atmosphere, the bar was empty. This may be due to low season.

Awesome bar and great bar staff :) overall my stay was ok, the shower was clogged and they never fixed it, also no hot water or soap in the bathroom. Had to figure out where the room was myself (the place is huge! And the guy at reception wasnt super helpful) also had to ask for a pillow. But the location is great and the blackout curtains + bed curtains were nice

    Fabulous

All in all I had a nice stay and I can fully recommend this place. The only downside is the kitchen. One pot and two plates for a hostel in this size is way too less. It needs definitely more cooking equipment.

Really I would give this hostel 5/10. Arrived to nobody at reception at 9pm despite it being til 10pm. Was put into a room two floors down which was incredibly noisy due to the “party room” which you think you would sound proof - it’s also a club which anyone off the street can go in. Get charges for towels, no bath mats, flimsy lockers, dated bathrooms - seems more money so spent on wellness centres and libraries than the actual room. It’s fine to stay in for the price - just odd.

This hostel feels more like a hotel... there’s very little social interaction. They claim to have 24 hr reception.. I even emailed them in advance alerting them that my bus arrived in Cuenca at 4 am. They responded saying this was not a problem. Nonetheless when I got there I was stuck outside for over an hour because there was no one at front desk. The hostel is huge and yet there is ONE bathroom per floor. Every shower I took was freezing.

Forced to spend long time dealing with the receptionist to upgrate the room to a private but he was not helpful at all , basicly gave the answer computer says no. We would have to pay for what we booked and then for the room too ,not the difference.Plane stupid. Finally we gave up and just went to sleep in the dorm and booked next night in private when we went to get the keys to it he told us their system wasnt linked with HW and the room was sold out ,we had to argue forlong to get a room.
