One of the best hostels I’ve ever been for sure. The cleanliness is perfect. Awesome garden bar with big umbrellas for the rain. Confortable beds with awesome shower in the private bathroom. The staff so good. Highly recommended!

Selina was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed. Very friendly staff, perfect location, great service. Clean and organized. The rooms were really comfortable and each bed had its private space. Bar/restaurant impecable. App really useful. Whenever I travel to a city where there’s a Selina will definitely stay there.

It is the perfect place for outdoor partying and a great place to meet new people and end up going to the beach the next day with them

The place is nice, and the reception staff was nice (super understaffed though, so you’re always in a long line). I was however surprised how unprofessional the bar personnel was; we were helped by people that were simply super drunk themselves. They were rude and the same people that were drunk the day before failed to help us at breakfast cause they were probably hungover. We tried to have breakfast but almost everything that could go wrong went wrong.

I don't like negative reviews :( Pedro who checked me in, was lovely. Nice location, and cool main building. However, no common area for travellers to meet, other than the bar. The dormrooms are the most cramped I have ever seen, and they are en-suite :/ my head was 2 meters from people having a number 2. For cheap accommodation in the centre of town this is great, but as a backpackers hostel, not so much.

Would not recommend for solo travelers. The basics are fine (good beds, plenty of storage space, ok bathroom). But there is no common room, only a terrace that is also accessible for people from outside. So there are many larger groups and it is hard to see if they are from the hostel. This makes it harder to meet people. The terrace staff did not always clean up the tables and their toilets were not clean. Don't pay for breakfast. I had to wait for 30 min after I ordered and the eggs were cold.

The 6 person dorm is so small and cramped, no room whatsoever to move around. Staff was not the friendliest. Atmosphere was ok.

I would have preferred a larger room for 4 people. Way way too small and I felt very suffocated. I stayed the 2 nights I booked but stayed in Porto at another hostel for my next location for 2 nights. It was much better! The room was much larger for 4 people to actually stand in the room. It was much cheaper and you don’t have to pay to sit down in common areas. I wouldn’t recommend Salina to anyone knowing there is much better in Porto.
