Booked for my last night in Costa Rica!! Loved the staff - everybody was SO HELPFUL and so nice and chill. Loved my bunks - my room had no A/C but was plenty cozy. The bathroom was also nice. Loved the entire layout of the property. Stairs that go up and down, feels like a cool labyrinth. The part of town that this Selina is located in is DOPE. I walked to San Jose's Farmer's Market from the hostel and it was super easy and felt safe. And at night- their restaurant/bar/common area is so lovely!

Selina was a great place to stay. Extremely clean, plenty of amenities, great food and drinks. I broke a bottle of red wine in my bag and stained many pieces of clothes, but after I gave my laundry to the front desk, there wasn't even a drop of a stain visible on any articles! I was amazed and am grateful.

This was the best hostel I’ve stayed in to date. Very clean, spacious, chill atmosphere. Lots of space to hang out and do your own thing as well as hang with other people by the bar. The city of San Jose on the other hand, was extremely dingy and run down.

Everything was fantastic, but watch out for the waitstaff if you don't speak fluent Spanish. One of them tried to cheat me when my partner got up to go to the bathroom. Luckily I'm familiar with the currency and called him out. As per anywhere, just be aware. Other than that, stellar experience!

Very nice building and facilities. In a portion of the city with only one restaurant nearby, and it closed at 6PM! The built-in restaurant had a “trendy” type menu, expensive and not large portions, I prefer more of a value-based system with both simple, good value meals ( like most Costa Rica meals) and fewer frills. The beer was 3x the local price. While the. Cafe area is called the “playground” the staff made sure we ate and drank promptly and moved on. There are some good “nooks” .

If you are anywhere near the shared kitchen be prepared to be woken up by people coming home drunk from the bars and cooking and then early in the morning because for some reason people apparently can't not play apiano of its there. It was great other than that.
