Centrally located, just a short walk from central Helsinki. Clean common areas (kitchen, toilet, shower). The communal kitchen was well-stocked and very convenient. Rooms were spacious and we had our own fridge in the room which was convenient. Did not run into any issues with the facilities / staff / other residents.

Lovely hotel. My room was the smallest single, so I had low expectations, but the room was spacious with large closets, and the window opens directly onto a balcony with a pretty rooftop view. The hotel proprietor is very welcoming, and she leaves out cookies for you in the kitchen, which is also available to use. Excitingly old-fashioned elevator and clean bathrooms. The location is safe, even at night, and in the most atmospheric part of the city, near most of the major tourist attractions.

Great place! Right down in the center, but quiet. The rooms were larger than I expected (for 4 people- 2 in one room, two in a connecting room). There was even a small table and chairs in the room. It's older and a small establishment, but very comfortable!

Location was perfect, close to everything! Roasting hot showers and a good kitchen. There wasn't really any staff though, the guy gave us our keys and that was it, no local info or guides and never saw him again so couldn't ask any questions

The location is fantastic, all of the downtown area is within easy walking distance. Our room was great, and the beds were comfortable enough. The wash closets and shower room or all clean and everything worked well. The staff spoke Finnish and Russian, but not much English, but everything worked out well enough anyway. I would recommend a stay here, especially for the great location.

    Very Good

A quirky little place that's a cross between a hotel and hostel. Has a great central location, which is the main selling point. The lack of staff outside 1 person 2pm-10pm was not a big problem for me, though can imagine it would be if you're looking for anything more than somewhere to stay and shower. The rooms are not en suite, which means it can get quite noisy as people go between their rooms and the toilets/showers on the main corridor.

The hostel is well-located. The main lady who ran the hostel was very welcoming. On the night I stayed, it was quite loud past midnight, as I heard a receptionist watching TV, which stopped me from sleeping! The hostel was very clean and kitchen was great. However, I was very disappointed with the WiFi connection which was broken when I was working - for the amount I paid, the WiFi should have been working. No one was at reception to help and it affected my work. A 'hotel' must have WiFi!

I could have passed 20 times and not noticed it was a hotel, the inside just felt like nothing was done properly or to a decent standard. it was like staying at a little old ladies house who hadn't spent any money on it in 20 years and couldn't afford to. If it was my house I'd be embarrassed to have people round to stay. Minimal effort I'd say. Seems like whoever owns it just thinks f*** it I'm not staying here so what does it matter
