The staff should get a 10+++++ and also the breakfast. The size of the room was superb. The only reason I didn't give a perfect 10 was whoever designed the WC was thinking -modern, not practical.

Beautiful building. Nice room with AC. Great staff. One bathroom on the third floor which was nice as I stayed on the third floor. Unfortunately, if it was occupied I had to go down to the first floor. Not a huge issue, but a tad inconvenient. Great location that’s in walking distance of all major sites in Coimbra. Free breakfast was nice too. I would recommend for sure.

Front desk staff were amazing and helpful, always down to chat and give recommendations. Breakfast was standard eats, from 7-10. But when they say it’s over at 10 it’s really over - you can’t linger in the breakfast room because they kick you out to clean up. Bathrooms were clean. In order to get onto the top bunk you have to climb the notches carved into the frame at the foot end of the beds, which was a bit odd and awkward. Not a super social hostel either, no common area.

Coimbra is a really historic place and this hostel is slap bang in the middle of it making it easily accessible to tours in the city. Would highly recommend doing the ‘view point’ walking tour.

Well-located hostel in Coimbra with nice staff and a great included free breakfast. Some drawbacks to consider. First, there isn't a common area beyond the kitchen and bar so it may be difficult to meet people if you're after that. Second, we paid for a private room and found ourselves in a seperate building to the rest of the hostel which had to be unlocked by staff as there was only one building key. This was both silly and annoying. Showers and toilets in building didn't have locks.

Overall a fine hostel. De vibe wasn’t amazing and the staff wasn’t very friendly. The times in the website app are a bit too optimistic: check-in is at 15 and check-out at 12, which would be fine if they didn’t advertise it as if it was something else. Kitchen isn’t “fully equipped” but it works and the breakfast is good. The place is clean and the location is great. We weren’t blown away, but it was fine.

The hostel seemed to be recently renovated and nicely done, but the bed was horrible and you could feel every single spring. Staff didn’t seem too concerned or surprised and offered us a bottle of water for compensation (they could keep their dollar). Hostel lists that they offer parking but it’s just regular street parking several blocks away so don’t go based off that when making your selection.
