Most travelers stopped in the town for a drink, however, I strongly recommend stay here at least one night. Quiet and cozy atmosphere, nice staff, and well-equipped facilities. I ended up with 2 nights after a 23KM hiking along the coastline.

Perfectly positioned for wonderful walks along the coast, or a bus trip into Ballycastle, Bushmills or beyond. Seamus and his family are lovely people, checking in only to open or close up. Great pubs down the road if you feel like a beer by the fire or a pub feed. I gave atmosphere less as there was only myself for 2 nights, and one other chap for 1 (off season, so I get it), for some people this may be a problem, for me it wasn't. I loved the place. Small, independent, homely and cosy.

This hostel is very homely, the kitchen is huge and has everything you would need to make a nice home cooked meal. The only suggestion is to make the lounge room more comfortable by replacing the conference like chairs, with couches. We had our own bathroom which was wonderful. Only real downfall is the top bunk bed being too low so I hit my head while half asleep quite a few times and the heater wasn’t working so we were a bit cold. The staff was so friendly and the location is breathtaking.

Being from Northern Ireland, we have driven past the famous Sheep Island View many times, but only now have thought to spend the night. We received a friendly welcome from Aileen with lots of tips on local walks and sights. We had a relaxed stay with amazing views of Sheep Island and Rathlin. The walks in the local area are outstanding. This is the ideal spot for a visit to Ballintoy Harbour or Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Our private en suite room was fine and the shared facilities were welcome.
