Hostelworld says

Shelter Jordan is a no-drug and no-alcohol Christian hostel near Anne Frank House and the rest of central Amsterdam. Our guests say 'if you're not into partying, drugs or drinking, this is a great place for you' and have recommended this hostel for lone travellers as it offers a safe atmosphere and single-sex dorms on separate floors. Visitors say 'the people are friendly and the community area is open until late, so there is plenty of time to socialise with others'. We like that the hostel offers free breakfast as well as lunches and dinners for around â'¬6.

I had a great experience at this hostel ! Although I wish the rooms had less beds because I heard so many different noises during the night it was hard for me to go to sleep (even with ear plugs on) it was a great place to stay. I felt very safe and the location is only 20 minute walk from the center. The staff was very kind and welcoming as well and the breakfast was delicious. This hostel is perfect if you’re on a budget !

The location is great, the interior is very nice and clean, the staff are nice and helpful, it feels safe for young women. All in all a good hostel. The only drawback is the set up of the restrooms which is a little awkward for changing.

Compared to most places in Amsterdam it's good value. Really good location, close enough to the main sites but far enough out so that crowds & noises aren't an issue. Not having a kitchen is a downside, but the free breakfast was good. Bathrooms were clean, room a little bit crowded but got the job done. How social it is depends on luck of the draw, as it seems groups can often take up many of the beds, so not always easy for a solo traveller to integrate with them. Overall though, great hostel.

Pretty good. The least expensive accommodation I found in Amsterdam. The bathrooms always seemed to have a ton of hair everywhere, which is something I hate. In the sinks, on the walls, in the toilets, just hair everywhere. Beds okay, easy in and out, not far from anything and there was a tram. Quiet neighborhood with no issues.

Shelter Jordan says

I'd say what makes us so different from the other hostels in Amsterdam is that there's no alcohol or drugs here, just a quiet and friendly atmosphere in the beautiful Jordaan area of the city. We also have a ton of extras, such as our free hot breakfast, free walking tours, free Bible discussion groups, free weekly movie nights and special events at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving.
Anne Frank House is only 500m from here and Dam Square, Leidseplein and the Rijksmuseum are also within walking distance. Personally I recommend checking out the 'hofjes' (hidden courtyards) around the Jordaan area.
Our hostel is ideally suited for those wanting to get a good night's sleep and visit the museums instead of going out to party.
